I would have to agree with you. He has the ability to run and pass the ball.

Wentz is in a league of his own, he also got the shaft with not being WDA player of the year i am dang near positive he had elgie beat in every catagory TD's running and throwin yards ran and passed and not only that he may have broken the ND state passing yards record he also like quadrupled CHS's wins from the last like 3 seaons (exageration) but he did so dang good its a pity to see him get screwed like that, obviously player of the year was a no brainer but id take Wentz over Elgie anyday Wentz is a flat out stud!

the numbers dont lie, zach wentz dominated this season and there was noone that came close to him, elgie won it over wentz on his name alone, anyone who watched the two play had to have another reason besides football to put elgie ahead of him. wentz had him beat in td passes, pashing yds, and total yds., wouldnt be suprised if he threw less ints also

Bottem line is that it was a huge mistake made by the coaches but it dosnt matter cuz wentz is a stud and the fans know who the best qb in the state is/was he will do great next year weather he decides on football, baseball, or both i hope to watch him either in person or on tv

I am not sure what mistake you are referring to?
Wentz is the first team all-state QB.
Elgie is 1st team at-large
Elgie is Senior Athlete of the Year.
I think the coaches put things where they needed to be.

Wentz is the best QB but Elgie did it all. QB, DB, K, P and not just that he filled a position, he was good at them all conference good at all of them.

Wentz was QB as well as LB anyone with a leg can kick the ball look at there was only one team i can think of that had someone specialize in kicking and that was malm for BHS, i saw a great video of Wentz running Elgie over in their game it was pretty funny. wentz could have been on special teams but they had the talent to not need him so why chance it?

What does at large mean too i always see it but have never asked?

Wentz didn't play LB in every game or at least didn't start there at the start of the season. I don't doubt Wentz athletic abilities I just think Elgie did more for his team over the course of three years as a two way starter and the punter and kicker.

At large is a way of getting more players on the first team. They might be the second best QB and the 4th best DB so they wouldn't be on 1st team but since they are good at both they are placed in the at-large category. Also knowing how political these things can be I would guess that in order to ease some tension and come to some conclusions the coaches allow these designations.
