On 8-22-06, in a battle of small teams (both teams have a 165 lb junior and senior average roster weight), Washburn “crushedâ€Â

Once Washburn established a lead, they simply continued to take advantage of the less confident and down trodden Burros late into the game until well after the score had an embarrassing and demoralizing effect on the far traveling Hilsboro Burro team and fans.  The 4[suP]th[/suP] quarter was miserable and embarrassing for the Hilsboro Burro team and fans.   Washburn established that they can and will run the score up in 2006 if they are given the opportunity to do so.   

50-14. Thats a 9-man football score for ya. They only scored 3 times in the second half(once in the 4th), thats not running up the score.  I guess they could have taken a knee the whole 4th quarter and gave Hillsboro a chance to come back.
