New alignment for 9-man football

The vote for realignment was today. Has anyone heard how that went? What did they decide?
Just curious.

The last plan I saw was to go with the 5 region system with rotations of some sort in the playoffs, sounded confusing.

Region 5 loses Williams Co and Berthold as they will be going to 11-man. And switching over to Region 5 is TGU and then moving down from 11-man is Kenmare. Still will be 9 teams in the region.

Is that for sure? I'm not sure how the vote went yesterday of if they even decided everything. I have seen plans that have 4,5,6, and 8 regions in 9man. Most of the plans I've seen basically keep Region 4 the same with TGU staying in that region.

i've been hearing that region 4 may be gone...with NCB & Maddock Co-oping to 11 man. St John, Dunsieth, & NS going east(some of this may depend on if Lakota coop's with AE & goes 11)

TGU, Wells go west & TRi Co goes south??

again probably just talk & fodder for next year..

The last proposal that I saw early in the week, had TGU and Dunseith going out west, and the current Region 4 gaining New Rockford. It had each Region with 8 or 9 teams. Which would be nice, then there wouldn't have to be the "partner region".

The last proposal I saw has region 4 staying the same except for the fact that Maddock and NCB are cooping....leaving 7 teams in the region. It looks like with GCC and BCN cooping and going 11man, that drops Benson County (Maddock/NCB) back down to 9man.

Horrible! I don't like it, they need more than 5 regions

I don't like the 5 region plan either. I like to see the opportunity for more nonconference play to see how you stack up against other competition. Basically looks like there's going to be 43 9man teams. If you kept the same 6 region format, that would be 7 teams in a region with one with 8. That means 6 region games and 3 nonregion games.

This HAS to be wrong -- if not, I drop football if I'm Richland.

It can't be because of the BCN /Griggs coop
