Wonder if that workload can have an effect on the week's game vs KC. I'm not sure if I've ever seen someone get 53 carries in a game.

Just heard Ihry was elected Mayor in New Rockford

I read 48 carries for 377...but same difference.

So if a player has ~50 carries, uhhhh.....how many offensive plays did his team have?

Like, what's average for a ndhs 9-man game? 60?

I'm not sure how many plays are run, but I thought I saw an article after the game stating that FSHP had the ball for 19 or 20 minutes out of the 24 minutes in the second half. They controlled the time of possession and grinded it out the second half. Also saw somewhere that he had around 125 yards at half time and 250 yards int he 2nd half.

This is what the Herald had:

PASSING -- Owen Zerface 1-4, 26 yards

RUSHING -- Jack Ihry 53-385 (5 TDs), O. Zerface 8-19 (1 TD), Tate Zerface 2-5, Cody Reimer 1-2

RECEIVING -- Dalton Stein 1-26

So that would be 68 plays, which I assume is a lot for a 9-man game.

Probably odd to say, but NRS was probably one of maybe two teams in the state that could have held Ihry in check that well. Against most teams he gets those 350 yards on a lot less carries.

I would be interested to see his season totals for Rushing.

I would also be interested to see some stats of some other season totals for yards/TD's such as Belquists. How many passing yards did NRS QB have? (Grann?). Who are some others that may be putting up big time stats this year? Mayville's RB/QB brother duo must have had a lot of yards this year. Cavalier seems pretty well balanced. What kind of stats does their QB/WR/RB have? Does kidder county have a work-horse or are they more by committee?

Watched the KC- Grant County game. KC has 2 workhorses, Parker Hager & Isaiah Harter. Both are very good 2-way players. Hager is also the backup QB and played most of the game at QB because their starter got hurt during the game. The upcoming game vs FSHP should be a good & physical game, but I expect FSHP to pull away in the 2nd half. Too many critical injuries to KC from the GC game.

GC has a very strong RB/WR returning next year in Connor Ottmar. I expect big things from him next year and their QB is only a sophomore.

Ihry's season numbers according to the GF Herald article-

251-2,378, 33 TD

That's a per game average of 23 carries, 216 yards and 3 td's a game. He's averaging 9.5 yards per carry. WOW!

He is a large person, with above average speed. Those number don't surprise me at all. I could see him weighing 250 in a couple years at UND.

I agree with the projected winners that pretty much everyone has picked on this thread. I would disagree with your scores. I’m not smart enough to have a good guess at scores of these games, as I don’t know much about our western teams. But, I would say, if one of these games is going to be close, I would guess it would be the Cavalier game. I do think Cavalier is very good. I just think Linton-HMB is much better than Kidder Co.

Come on man... Give us a reason away you disagree. I don’t claim to be real sharp on western teams, which is why I don’t predict their games before late in the playoffs. I saw you predicted Kidder to beat Linton HMB during the regular season. Kidder did drop that game by 20 and were predicted to fall by 5 of the 8 people who predicted that game. The teams may be different now because players do get hurt and such as the season goes. I’m not sure why LHMB dropped their last regular season game like they did. I’d think they were resting up some guys before a playoff push.

9 man teams are not known for their depth typically. I would say Cavalier is the team left with the best ability to withstand a big injury. But I’m going to assume that the teams are healthy and not pick games thinking about what if so and so gets hurt. Hopefully everyone is is good going in and remains that way when the final whistle sounds.

FSHP has been in some close games this year and given up a lot of points. From what I’ve heard and seen of Kidder Co they have a couple big RBs. Just seems like a good matchup of two physical teams. My scores reflect more of what I think of Cavalier than anyone else. But if it’s FSHP vs Cavalier in the dome, I’m picking FSHP in a close game even tho I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Cavalier by 30.

Kidder had some injuries during their game against Linton. Linton was able to throw on them which will be harder late in the season due to weather. Linton got crushed by GC-F (WR was out and QB was injured when GC-F was up 8-0), KC beat GC-F close last week and beat them 36-0 a few weeks ago. Beach played Linton close last weeks and KC beat beach by 40.
