Finley-Sharon-Hope-Page
May-Port-CG
Richland
Griggs County
Tri-State

New Rockford-Sheyenne
St. John
North Prairie
Dunseith

Towner-Granville-Upham (upset pick)
Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood
Divide County
Parshall-White Shield

Linton-HMB
Kidder County
South Border
Mott-Regent-New England

The reason I'm picking TGU to beat R/PL. I just think that they're very sloppy with the FB. I believe they had 4+ turnovers (2 fumbles and 2 interceptions against CM. Some would the drizzle played a factor and it did. Which CM would have easily beat them if they capitalized on all of R/PL's turnovers. Plus they struggled against Berthold a few weeks back only having six points at the half. Before beating them 37-0 plus they lost to M-L-S on opening week 26-21. If they play like this come the first round of the playoffs. It could be one and done.

A little bitter about the loss last week to R/PL?

I wouldn't say bitter more like frustrated with the way we performed. At least we have a shot wrap up the #2 seed.

R/PL is good but not as good as last year.

The weather this week definitely has me second guessing picking New Rockford over Cavalier. If the weather is bad enough to slow down New Rockford through the air I think Cavalier has the edge. In better conditions (like maybe turf later in the year....) I would lean New Rockford. Should be the game of the week at any level. Not sure how things would have to end up later in the year but a semi-final or championship rematch of this game would make me very happy.

This weather is going to create havoc with a number of games this weekend. Rescheduling and trying to find officials could be very interesting. Weather like this makes me glad I am not an AD.

Run said Monday there were at least 7 MN games that got moved up to Wednesday? Why weren't the ND schools more proactive? It's not like that storm surprised anyone.

C'mon phillip, you been in ND long enough to know about Wednesdays. As far as the weather, been there all too many times where a record prediction fizzled as well as a "10 minute" dusting turned into a 24 hour disaster.

Lack of trust by ADs with the weather forecast (storm was always coming)...now instead of being proactive schools will be cramming games into a smaller window to make them up

I agree with you on the lack of trust in Athletic Directors. But they also need to think about the safety of not only the players, officials, but fans as well the games can be rescheduled.

My other question is if some of these games are postponed until Monday or Tuesday? Will, they moved those games on Friday, October 18 to Saturday to give them an extra day of practice? Cause the playoffs don't start until Saturday, October 26th.

Since the teachers conference is next Thursday and Friday, I guess there is a state law stating that no athletic events can be conducted those two days. Plus there are some games next week being played Tuesday and Wednesday that were already scheduled. As seen with a few postponements already that originally games next Tuesday and Wednesday have been rescheduled to next Saturday, which I could see that route being done.

The State Legislature did away with teacher's conference a few years ago. Schools still take those days off because of the Administrator's Conference on those days, but those days do not count as "school days" The fact that most schools still take those days off may have schools not wanting to play on those days.

I don't know about how the whole area but snow were receiving here north of Devils lake is going to make it difficult to even play by Tuesday. Its wet heavy snow and my guess we already have passed a foot of snow based on the snow in my yard and drifts that are accumulating around the town. I already can see 3 and 4 foot drifts and we still have today and tomorrow with storm plus they have moisture event for Tuesday. My guess it will be lucky to have roads cleared by Tuesday in the rural areas here this is not going to be easy snow to handle like in the winter time and on top of that is all wet ground underneath this snow with rain fall that happen prior to the snow.

A number of schools looking for a playable field for Monday. Probably not a popular opinion, but I think the games that have an effect on the playoffs should be given priority over the games that are just being played to finish out the season. If you are an AD with a turf field I bet your phone has been ringing nonstop since Friday!

Maybe I'm wrong, but with the QRF being taken into account for playoff seeding, I would think every game has an impact on playoffs, even if the teams playing in them are not likely going to be in the playoffs. Their results could impact the QRF Formula which in turn would impact the seeding.

I do understand what you mean though.

Hadn't thought about the possible QRF ramifications, you make a good point, some of the games involving two non-playoff teams could affect seeding.
