Very talented. I think they will bear new salem by 4 scores and will knock off Shiloh next week. I was at their game last week and their size and speed is unbelievable. The team they played was bad, but it was obvious they have all the pieces to make a deep run come playoff time

I agree with you that Mott-Regent/New England will be very tough. The addition of New England gives them depth they have been lacking the last couple years. I think their game with Shiloh will be a very good indication of how the region might shake out. I think MRNE will beat NSGU tonight, but I don't think it will be as lopsided as 4 scores but I could be wrong. I wouldn't sleep on Hettinger-Scranton either. They have one of the best players in the state in Kludt and have some speed and talent around him. The thing that might prevent HS from making a lot of noise is their lack of size, but they have playmakers!

Looks like a lot of love for Mott-Regent New England on the site. Just curious what kind of offense they run and who are some of their horses. Where is the Shiloh game played and when.

In the past couple years they have had good talent and skill players, but have lacked the depth needed to sustain success throughout the season. Their stud this year would be Josh Wallace, in years past they have spread it out to find their success. I think the reason people out west are so high on them is the amount of depth they get with the addition of New England. NE sends over a couple of kids with some good AA experience from when they were co-oped with Trinity. Giving coaches like Benson and Zachmann the depth they now possess makes me expect big things from MRNE. The Shiloh/MRNE game is in Mott next week.

North Star loses another matchup due to inadequate number of players for opponents. It must be frustrating to see 25% of your region schedule down the tubes.

Has to be a win by forfeit this week though...right?

Yes it is a forfeit tonight. The game last week with M-M was not a region game. North Star got moved to a new region this year.

So did the MM game count as a forfeit? I know it was a non-region game, but I'm wondering how that works for QRF.

Well looks like I was wrong about the New Salem and Mott game. Hats off to NSGU

I'm trying to catch up on my 9-man football, but it seemed like everyone had St. John head and shoulders over the rest of the region. Are they missing kids? not as good as they're supposed to be? NP much better than they're supposed to be?

North Prairie just played an amazing game, St. John had a couple of starters get hurt due to NP's strength, but despite the starters getting hurt St. John had a great game as well. North Prairie has a freshman, Xavier Mitchell, that had 3-4 interceptions, 2 touchdowns, and a couple of the biggest hits I've seen from a player standing at only 5'9. Very very bright future for this young man.

Along with Schwab I was completely wrong with my Mott/New Salem pick. Not as confident with them over shiloh, but I still think it will be a great game.

It was reported to the GF Herald so I doubt it was a scrimmage.
