I was born in 1990 so I didn't get to see this rivalry before then but Underwood & Turtle Lake-Mercer must have had a really great rivalry in the past before they co-oped (Central McLean) in 2007. But their still rivals in volleyball and basketball. I always like to see those two duke in out in volleyball and basketball.

McLean County must have had a lot of rivalries between the towns of Washburn, Turtle Lake, Underwood and Garrison, but I think Garrison and Washburn played 11-man when there were three divisions in the 1970s and 1980s. Underwood and Turtle Lake played in Region 4 in the early 2000s along with perennial state powers Linton-HMB, Strasburg-Zeeland and Napoleon. One of the best playoff games I ever saw was in 2002, when Underwood upset defending state champion and top-ranked Strasburg-Zeeland, 28-24. Underwood scored a touchdown on a deflected pass with about a half a minute left to win it.

I know it is in Sheridan County, but when was the last time McClusky had a football team?

Rolla vs. Rolette was a great rivalry through the late 80's into the 90's. Great football and many very good players!
