interesting Week 3 poll:

This poll will go through some changes come Week 4. Do coaches pick this? I'm guessing the media does...

FSHP hasn't played any tough opponents yet, and their game against Hankinson will be telling. I believe Hankinson and W/L are the two best teams this year in Region 1, and they battled it to the end last week with Hankinson pulling it out in OT. Hankinson has a pretty good defense, and their only loss came to Mott-Regent and that came down to the last play. In this game, Hankinson's best player Cody Mauch was out Quarters 2-3-4 and they still hung in to the end. Take away one of Mott's 1-2 best players and you would see a totally different outcome. Both Mott-Regent & Hankinson will be there at the end of this year, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Wyndmere-Lidgerwood make a strong playoff run. W/L has some playmakers and I don't think they'll lose again during the regular season. Mauch might be the most dominating two-way player in the state and he's tough to stop. I'd have him top 5 in any class and he'll get his share of looks from the bigger schools.

TGU needs a good showing to stay in but they play Thompson. I predict Thompson by 24 so TGU will be out.

I predict Hankinson wins on FSHP's turf by 22 points. The season is early, there are a lot of 1 loss teams that will be hungry.

Looks like we will have some new teams in the top 5 and getting votes. Thompson made a statement about being the best team in the state and with Mott and tgu going down, who will the new faces be in the polls. Below are my thoughts
1- Thompson
2- Shiloh. ** they will stay here but I don't think they deserve to be ranked at #2
3- Cavalier
4- North Priarie
5- Hankinson * could be Richland here as well
