extra point blocked. Why would you ever attempt an extra point there?

LLM scores 4 times against Cavalier. That doesn't make the rest of R2 look good.

One score was a trick play and the other was against the reserves. Scoring 50 and moving on in my mind makes Region 2 look just fine. It was 2-2 versus region 1 and from what I hear it could have been 4-0 very easily. Playoff football there usually aren't a lot of big blowouts. How about giving LLM some very deserved credit.

Trick plays are allowed during the regular season too.

and the other was against the reserves.

why was Cavalier playing their reserves in the first half? region 2 played against Cavalier's reserves too.

I think pointing out that they were able to do something 4 times in a game that the rest of the region wasn't able to do 1 time in 7 games is giving them a ton of credit.

I dont think thats what you really think....Region 2 went 2 and 2 today....2 blowouts and 2 real close ones...makes them better than region 1 imo

I'm not saying region 1>region 2. Seven R2 teams played Cavalier and none of them scored. Cavalier plays an out of region game and they give up 4 TDs. I'm saying exactly what I posted: that score doesn't make R2 look good. Based on today's results you could make a strong argument that the R2 playoff teams were better than the R1 playoff teams. I think seven of those eight playoff teams are pretty close and Cavalier is a step above the rest.

In talking to LLM fans on the sideline Saturday, they could have easily been a 1 or 2 seed in Region 1 if not for some key injuries. I am not sure if people thought Cav would go through the playoffs without allowing a score, but that would be nearly impossible in 9 man playoffs. Break a tackle and have some speed (which LLM has) and their gone. IMO, while watching the game there really was never a question. LLM played a good football game and their kids are well coached and good athletes. Cav is just really good. Congrats to LLM, great kids, fans and coaching staff. Can see why they are successful in sports.

Injuries can happen to any team, so that is not the main "what if" situation LaMoure fans were looking at. The "what if" was the 21-20 loss to SZ and how on two 4th quarter SZ drives on 4th and 17, and 4th and 10, LMM players were in position to knock down the pass and they failed to do so. Had someone made a play, LMM would have won that game and would have then been #1 seed instead of #4. But that is the way the ball bounces in a very close region. Not that they could beat Cavalier even in a home, game. But at least they wouldn't have had to play them in the first round.

LLM are always a class act...great folks from down that way......I can honestly say every Tornado fan that I know knew there would be a score in the first round from the opponent regardless of who it was, #14 for LLM is a top receiver in any division in the State, wouldn't matter where he played....the 8 teams left in the Playoffs are all for real......I would go on to say that LLM has to be as good or better than any other team down south in R1

Cavalier did not have there reserves in the first half, it was late in the fourth quarter.
