The teams in 9 Man

I don't know if three run solid run plays makes Grant County a two headed attack. RTHS had a goal line stand within the first three minutes of the game due to a fumble on the opening drive. In fact I would be willing to bet that the storm had less than 100 yards of total offense in the first half. Outside of a 40 yard pass to Froelich there wasn't much offense for GCF in that first half. According to the stats put up by the tribune RTHS gained more overall on the ground as well(275 to 225 *rough estimate). In all reality its going to come down to what is the weather going to do. If its wet and rainy like last Friday I give the edge to Shiloh, if its nice it will come down to the turnover game where both teams are stingy at coughing up the ball.

I wanted to make sure I was accurate in my estimates, GCF did finish with more yards that RTHS.
The totals were as follows

RTHS GCF
1st half total yards of offense 129 yds 49 yds
2nd half total yards of offense 101 yds 200 yds

Now looking at the stat sheet GCF had three runs in the second half of 60, 35, and 26 for a total of 121 yards. I think this game will most definitely come down to the weather and if GCF can run their spread offense.

No matter who your rooting for, this is going to be a great match up. Obviously the weather will be a huge factor. The question here is can Shiloh's defense stop the pass and can GC/F's defense stop the run? Both teams are loaded with athletes which will make it a very interesting game. No one has been able to stop Shiloh's run game all year, not even the weather. They haven't had to pass in any of their previous games, so it could be interesting if they are forced to pass. I have not seen Flasher play this year, but obviously they can pass. They have also showed they can run, if needed. I would compare their running game to Shiloh's passing game. The difference maker could be that Shiloh has the athletes to guard GC/F receivers one on one. There isn't another team in the Region that can line up athlete for athlete with GC/F like Shiloh can. They have the luxury of having their best db/cover guy as a free safety. This game will boil down what team wants it more. Can't wait for Saturday!

Shiloh played very well against Grant county Flasher....42-16..... Thought Shiloh wore down gcf with there running game and a few key passes... But there pass defense in the second half was outstanding ... These two teams could see each other again.... Way to go skyhawks....
