I heard Tommy Weidler signed with Minot State. Anybody else hear that?

yup... Going to play quarterback.
Got recruited some other places to play DB, but wanted to try QB.

What is Minots QB situation up there right now? Does he have a shot at starting up there right now or do they have a upperclassmen that will start?

Didn't they have a QB that good and young but left? I thought I heard that. Isn't that Grant Winfeld (sp?) there? When is the last time a North Dakota kid was a WB for minot or any other dac 10?

Chad Lueck i believe started for Valley City State this year and he's from Lidgerwood ND. Think he is the only QB in the DAC that started from ND and i believe he was a senior this past year. Sounds like Jason Beilke could be starting for them next year he played for Valley City in high school.

I fully realize that Mary is out of the DAC, but Kirchofner (sp) and the third string kid Sandy who played in several games were from ND.

You are correct, but its Grant Winfaldet. He's from divide county, graduated in 05, and transferred to bismarck this year, I'm pretty sure. I'm friends with his brother and he told me that Grant just didn't feel like playing last year.

weidler wants to play qb for minot state...but head coach mike sivertson won't name his starting quarterback yet! they play their first game this saturday and he says he hasn't decided who will start the game. other than weidler, they've got Jon Meier (redshirt freshman from regent), layvester james (freshman from fl), jordan flagel (freshman from calgary), and ryan jutras (soph. who started 1 gm last year). so jutras might have a leg up, since he has some experience, but who knows...

I have heard Dickinson State hasn't named a QB yet either and they have 4 legit possibilities. I see Minot as having 2 Meier and Jutrus.
