Games of the week... Well I think Central Cass is better than they played against Oaks beating a very good Lisbon Team. We will also see if Oaks can out score a good Linton Team. I don't think either team will stop it each other so a High Scoring game with oaks winning. Game of the week has to be LangdonEM at Hillsboro. The Burros have rebounded Nicely after the Kindred game. I am going with Burros in a close one if the Burros have figured how how to tackle.

Oakes still gets no respect. Starters have given up 20pts in 4 games and have forced 21 turnovers.

What do you mean no respect? I said they were going to win. Linton can score.... they have a really good QB and some good receivers. If they play up to their ability, they can put up 4 or 5 touchdowns. But I think Oaks can up 5 or 6 touchdowns on Linton who has a weak defense. I believe Oaks should be a top 5 team in the state and I think they would beat at least a couple top 5 teams out West.

No respect? Oakes has been picked by everyone on this forum. The only disrespect they get is the fact that some ppl don't spell their town right.

Respect is earned on the field...not in the polls

Also Oaks only competition all year has been Central Cass with a 22-14 win and the other 3 wins have been by 3 teams that have one win on the year. Now if they come out this week and hand Linton their tails and come into Kindred and get the Win... then we will sing the Oaks School song...

Region 2 has a couple of games that I'm really interested in. First in a game that may or may not matter - HWC at PRFL. Everyone but me has picked Harvey to win. They are young, athletic, and are capable of scoring on some big plays. QB is quick and lightning and really keeps plays alive running around until they get someone open down field. On the other hand PRFL is a lot tougher than they have been in recent years. They are able to run the ball and have a fairly stout defense. Take out last weeks game and they have played two of the top teams in region 2 and are only giving up 18 points a game. I watched their Thompson and HCV games and they were able to run the ball and outside of a few big plays both of those teams struggled to move the ball consistently (especially running). There scores vs. Thompson are very similar so I think it should be a very competitive game. I picked the home team because with rain forecasted I think running the ball usually wins.

The other huge game is obviously Langdon @ HCV. Both teams have had so many injuries/missing guys it is really hard for me to have a prediction I am comfortable with. I think that at full strength I would take Langdon to win by 8. I really think it comes down to how healthy HCV is up front in this one. If they have guys back then I will take them to run the ball and control the clock. If Langdon has adjusted to the loss of the RB and WR (maybe?) then I think Langdon could throw the ball and hit on enough big plays to win. At the end of the day when weather may be a factor I will again go home team with what I think is the better run game. HCV wins by 2.

To weigh in on the Oakes thing - they are real deal. Very good at the skills and very physical. Them vs. Kindred will be a battle for the region.
