IMO…CC over HCV - 1st game of season is my reasoning…I think it’d be a different result if played now (closer)

Langdon/HCV should be quite the game this week

Also…technically the Shiloh/Beulah game is not necessarily for the title with Bowman and Beulah still to play PLUS Beulah to still play Trinity…

Biggest Games This Week:

- Sargent County @ Kindred: Time to find out how real deal SC is. There only loss is to Central Cass (score was 6 to 26 which is what has caught some eyes). That being said, not sure they have a win that tells me they belong in that discussion to win the region (a two point win over Linton is their best - other wins are Heart River, Oak Grove, and EEK). I think Kindred, its line play, and its depth are too much and show why it is them and Central Cass in a tier above the rest of this region (Lisbon coming off a state championship birth with a dang good O-line just lost 8 to 41 to Central Cass). Kindred wins 38 to 6.

- Langdon @ HCV: This is the the obvious one and probably the game of the week state wide. The streak vs. the huge senior class at home. Tradition vs. tradition. Spread offense vs. I formation option. A region championship game. I would give the edge to HCV at the WR positions because of the size (it is dang close though), Langdon at RB because of his physicality and ability to catch the ball (I really like HCVs FB though), and think both teams have very good lines but if I had to take one I think HCV doesn't have as big of a weak link as Langdon does. I think it all comes down to QB play as watching these two teams I continue to question if they have good enough QB play to win as many playoff games as needed to get to state. I think this game comes down to who wins the turnover battle and assuming that HCV doesn't turn it over they grind out possessions and the clock to end the streak. When in doubt - pick the home team with 22 seniors. HCV by a score of 30 to 22.

- Shiloh @ Beulah: Another game that probably decides the region championship this week. I watched the first game of the year between Shiloh and Harvey and Harvey did whatever it wanted at the skills (especially throwing the ball). Beulah has shown a willingness and ability to throw the ball around that they don't often get credit for. I believe it being in Beulah is a big deal as well. I think Beulah proves it stands alone out west and rolls. Beulah wins 44 to 12.

Well HCV 26 Kindred 20 is not much of a thumping.......

Kindred had a major problem with cramping... starters laying on the sidelines.... They had 7 starters laying on the sideline in the second half so quite a few JV players had to play but.... HCV was more physical and punched Kindred in the mouth.
CC and Kindred... Well.... Kindred just ran the ball up the middle of the field and CC could not stop that.... Also I think CC QB had a bad game and just started throwing it up and hoping that his guys would come down with the ball. Also CC did not adjust to Kindred in the second half which is why the game got out of control.
No... If HCV played CC right now..... No question I believe HCV wins hands down.

I think Kindred beating Central Cass 37 to 0 stands out to me as the oddity. HCV didn't thump Kindred...it was 6 points. Central Cass beating HCV early in the season by 19 the first game doesn't shock me - I think HCV was still figuring out who they were. The one score that floored me is Kindred dominating Central Cass - especially holding them scoreless in the middle of the season. I think that is going to be the game that if they were to meet again the score would be much different.

The game of the week is HCV VS Langdon....

I was floored how well Langdon took care of Harvey..... 28-8 at half is impressive.

I think HCV is to physical and will win the game on the ground with a few big throws to gain field position.

Langdon is the program to beat and I mean PROGRAM.... what a great job they have done as a coaching staff, team and community to raise up a football team. My hats off to them.... being as dominate has they are and not be close to Fargo or Grand Forks. Well Maybe Just maybe.... hard work and dedication pay off no matter where you live. Maybe it is about sacrifice by not only the coaches and players but by the parents and community.

LEM @ HCV: Wow what a big game for both of these teams. A lot is at stake and expect a lot of media at this game. Whoever can handle the moment will have a good chance of winning this game. Langdon has yet to play a complete game. If they can get a start like last week and finish they will win. If HCV can get the ball rolling and wear out Langdon they will win. Depth is big in this kind of game because it’s gonna be a 4 Qtr game. I’m going to go with heart over head in this one and pick Langdon 24-20 over HCV. Should be a fantastic game.

HCV also had a huge 3rd down play from their own 7 yd line or so. If they don't get that...who knows if LEM coulda turned the short field into a TD.

What happened in the Lisbon Oaks Game? Lisbon have some kids out sick or major injuries? I was really surprised by that one. HCV is good and deserved that win. LEM got away with a few offensive pass push off's for a few big catches in the game. HCV was more aggressive. LEM is a very good team but is going to have to force turnovers or a pick 6 or fumble recovery for a score to get back to the state title game. I think teams like HCV, Beulah, Kindred or CC have to much size to wear down LEM.
