Most Interesting Matchups This Week:

- Central Cass @ Kindred - Best game around the state this week. Two teams that compete for region championships with each other in just about every sport. I think this one might end of deciding who wins region 1. I will take Central Cass to win by a touchdown scored late in the game.

- Linton @ Sargent County - Linton has dropped two in a row but they were to Kindred and Lisbon. Sargent County's only loss is to Central Cass but wins over Heart River and Oak Grove don't tell you a whole lot. I think these are the two teams fighting for the final playoff spot in this region behind CC, Kindred, and Lisbon. I think it will be a really competitive game with Sargent County winning by 2.

- Carrington @ Harvey - Another game taking place in the middle of the season that I think determines who makes the playoffs. Carrington will need to keep the game low scoring and grind out a W. Harvey has the weapons to try and turn it into a track meet. Carrington has to dictate pace in order to compete - I don't think they are able to and Harvey pulls away in the 3rd. Harvey wins by 14.

- Shiloh Christian @ Bowman County - Shiloh's only loss is to a good Harvey team and they have been playing well since with a nice win over Trinity last week. I expect Bowman to be good but looking at their schedule so far I don't think they have played anyone who will be near .500 come the end of the season. I think it being in Bowman is the difference and Bowman wins by a couple points.

Kindred and CC.... If CC can protect the QB and they throw it 35 times I will give it to CC but if they try to run a bunch and throw 15 times .. I will take Kindred by 14. So weather will play into it but two very good teams both will have good games plans.... Just whomever executes.
Velva will be tested this weekend. I think I will take Rugby this week. Close game but Ruby.
Linton get it done. I was surprised what happen to them last week so they will be back this weekend.
Lisbon is the real deal and they will compete with CC and Kindred for the one seed.
Bowman County..... Yep.... I don't know how Shiloh is 3 -1 on the year.

Sorry! For the incorrect matchup, I hope NDHSAA updates the scores a little better, or whoever is reporting the scores to them. People shouldn't have to scramble just to find the score of one game, not really complaining, but just putting in my two cents. I went on NDHSAA on Sat. and still the Langdon/Park River score was not reported in. But again! My apologizes the matchup has been since updated.

I saw Langdon/PR final online on Friday night via Twitter…NDHSAA is dependent on schools reporting and some schools struggle to do so…if I come across a missing one I’ll post as a reply in the schedule (as I have been doing lately).

Yes it comes down to the coaches reporting it. Traditionally the home team does it but not always. It is another one of those things on head coach's plate and sometimes it gets forgotten after a game.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Langdon Thompson game this week? I left it off my games to watch because I missed it thinking it was Northern Cass that Langdon played. I listened to the PR Langdon game and it sounded like PR played them tough defensively except for a couple big plays (12 to 0 at half) but couldn't score and had a ton of penalties. That would leave me to believe they are definitely vulnerable. Can't say I have watched a ton of Thompson yet to know what they have going on. Does Thompson have a legitimate chance to end the streak?

Langdon is doing a great job but I don't think they are unbeatable this year..... Langon by 18

Or they do report it to the newspapers or local media (like normal) but not to the NDHSAA...Twitter is another place to look for scores...many post there so all can see final.

Lisbon didn't matchup up well with athletes outside which is why they lost. So to me Thompson and Lisbon are very different that way. I'm not sure Thompson will have guys in the secondary you can pick on like Langdon did against Lisbon. Lisbon is great up front and runs hard but will struggle with teams that can hold of their pressure long enough to exploit the secondary. Langdon moving one lineman to RB looks to have left a hole on the O-Line that can be attacked as well, this was done after the Lisbon game. If Langdon throws 3 interceptions this week like they did last I think we will see them lose (Thompson has more athletes in the secondary than a winless Park River team). My gut tells me Langdon by 12 but Thompson at home could give them a heck of a run if Langdon makes mistakes.
