Interesting games this week (not sure they will necessarily be close games though):

Harvey at HCV - Harvey has a strong senior class and some very good skill players. They would have been my pre-season favorites in region 2 prior to the realignment. HCV got a great bounce back win last week and will be looking to prove they were right to be region favorites. I don't think Harvey can hold on and overcome HCV's depth. I will take HCV by a score of 40 to 24.

Langdon at Grafton - I thought after seeing week one Grafton was in for a huge drop off but were able to bounce back and get a nice win last week vs. Devils Lake. Langdon is rumbling again and behind a strong line and very physical running back with surprisingly good skills play (I thought it would be good by the end of the season but am surprised it happened so early). I don't think Grafton is good enough upfront to beat Langdon but could make it interesting if they slow it down and grind it out with Rios. I will take Langdon to win 36 to 14.

Linton at Kindred - Linton has started with two nice wins and has appeared to transition to 11 man well but now gets the big boy in the region to open the season. Will be a good measuring stick game for Linton to find out where they are at. Kindred is coming off a tough loss to HCV and will be looking to get right and start off region play with a big win. I think we learn a lot about both teams here. I will take Kindred to roll and win by 18 to 20.

I think HCV was a little to confident and not ready to play vs CC but they came out and played against Kindred. I think Harvey will be one of the top 10 teams in the state but HCV is one of the top 4 for sure. I think the physical play and great coach of HCV will take this one by two touchdowns.

Langdon walks Grafton by 4 touchdowns. Great win by Grafton last week but I see Langdon shutting down the run game.

Linton is coming out swinging at the 11 man ranks and they have lots of size up front and they are very well coached. I think the secondary will not hold up against Kindred and the Kindred QB will throw for 4 touchdowns. I also think Kindred will not be cramping all game and will keep the varsity players on the field this Friday night so the defense will not give up the big plays.

I believe NC will surprise many on here and take down Thompson. NC has a small amount of kids out but I think they can play.

Des Lacs takes out Bishop Ryan....This is going to be Des Lacs year to compete at the top. I know a guy who Knows a guy who knows a guy that told me ......

S/Z is supposed to be included. Frustrations are there…it was listed with Linton winning so that needed to be fixed at least
