Most interesting games this week (IMO):

Oakes @ Thompson - This might be the most interesting matchup in the state this week. Two of the top teams in Region One squaring off early. This is Thompson's first real test of the season and it comes at home vs. a very talented Oakes team. I think it all comes down to if Thompson can stop the top guys on this Oakes' team or if Oakes can slow down the ground game of Thompson. I will take Thompson in a one score game.

Bowman County @ Killdeer - Two undefeated teams who had different external expectations at the start of the season. Killdeer is well on the way to surprising people with how competitive they are and might be able to show that Friday. The game being in Killdeer helps but with only 18 kids on the roster, I think the depth of Bowman wins out. Bowman by a couple of TDs.

New Salem @ Trinity - Another top game in the state this week type affair. Both teams are right in the thick of things but have had totally different seasons to this point. New Salem has walked through their first 3 while Trinity has had 3 battles with tough teams. Is Trinity experienced and battle tested or worn down from three tough games? I think it is the former and Trinity wins a good game.

After four games I think that Region 1 comes down to Lisbon or Oakes, in Region 2 Langdon-E-M is clear cut favorite. Region 3 looks like Velva, Region 4 is looking more like Killdeer, but the four playoff teams look like Killdeer, Trinity, Bowman County, & New Salem-GU.

I said earlier before the season started that my predictions are subject to change. Well my final prediction:

Hope my predictions stand, but I'm going out on a limb and say that there will be a new class A champion this year. It's probably hard to imagine that Langdon won't lose a game, but I think they will. I pick the Velva Aggies to win it all.
