Harvey vs Park River week 8 who wins?

Postby sportsman21 » Tue Oct 11, 2016 12:15 am

Curious who will win for the final spot playoff spot in region 2. I know Harvey isnt giving up a whole lot of points each game. Will their defense be enough to stop Hankey?

I'm rolling with Harvey at home. I think the defensive line gets enough penetration to slow down Hankey and force Zavalney to beat them through the air, which will be tough. Anderson hits on a couple long passes for the Hornets and that'll be the difference. But I'm expecting a defensive battle. Turnovers will also be huge; both teams need to protect the ball.

In all reality, the playoffs begin this week for PRFL. Hankey is a great player that has gotten this team to where they are, but it's going to take the rest of the team to step it up and contribute from here on out. The Aggies have some talented players that are under utilized. The coaching staff needs to make some adjustments if they want to win. Tell me if I'm wrong, but the Aggies offense is to predictable. There's an old saying that you shouldn't put all of your eggs in one basket.

Let me remind you that Hankey is the QB, so you'll have to stop him on the ground, in the air and probably by sea. The Aggies haven't used their backup QB a lot on passing.

Unless that basket is one of the best baskets in the state. In big time games sometimes you need to lean on your best player but I do agree that they need some others to step up. Not sure I would put the blame on the coaching staff however.

Same coaching staff that just won back to back state titles right? Funny how fast people forget those things. Hankey is one of the best and if they are going to go down on Saturday, they are gunna go down riding him. You know Harvey has 8 seniors on their team right?

Coaches have to adapt every season based on their talent and expertise. I'm not trying to take any credit away from the coaches, but the cross country coach could have coached last years team to the Championship. Do you think if PRFL plays Larimore again that they'll go with the same game plan that did earlier in the season? I don't think so. They are going to make some changes.

on film Harvey looks a little undersized on the DLine. Appear to be prone to fumble also. PRFL controls the ball and time of possession they roll by a couple touchdowns. Harvey has a nifty little QB who could expose the PRFL secondary. Keep him off the field and playing from behind will be key.

It will be hard to determine the winner of this game. whoever has the last drive wins the game. I do believe Harvey's defense will come through and beat the Aggies 24-16. Turnovers will be a big factor also both teams will be in desperation mode it's a win or go home.

What about 2014?

I think PR wins. I feel like they're Larimore's biggest threat in the state.

2014 Aggies got a little luck. But coaches certainly helped. The luck was against Oakes. The coaching was against Larimore. Against Killdeer I don't know.

That's right; thanks River. I still think Harvey is a more complete team with a handful of kids who can beat you. I'm not sure that can be said of PR outside of Hankey and Omlie. 22-14 Hornets

My team is out of the nine man playoffs. So the team I root for outside Central McLean is the town my dad & uncles grew up in Harvey. Plus they play tough in games like this. Hornets 24-16.

I am going to give the edge to Harvey. I have seen a few of PR's games and they look great against the bad teams but the teams that like to play the physical game give them problems. Unless Hankey has the game of his life I don't think the Aggies can pull off a playoff birth.

Region scores of the two teams are comparable. The way I see it, HWC must shut down Hankey and PR-FL will need to keep Schimke and Granger in check. Should be a good game.

If PRFL D-backs can keep Harvey from having big plays PRFL wins. I think this game will come down to who wants it more. I'll go with Hankey and company.

The games where PRFL struggled in had key players missing. I'm predicting an Aggie win. All of the focus will be on Hankey. Don't be surprised if someone else pulls off some big plays.

I agree. Hankey has more weapons back now. They can't just key on him anymore. And with the line healthy Jackson will have a big night on the ground IMO. PRFL by 8. Or more.

100.9 FM out of Grafton. If you're not from the area you can stream it online.

Aggies up 32-0 at half with 5 TDs already. They're healthy and peaking at the right time.

Total domination by PRFL D in the first half. I think one first down for Harvey and still - yards till their last drive of the half. Receivers for PRFL didn't have many drops and the D backs looked a hundred times better than against Langdon ( two or three picks also). PRFL looks like the team they were supposed to look like. Hankey had a great game. If he repeats that performance next week, they will win IMO. Lineman from PRFL deserve a TON of the credit as well Great job!

Well it looked like Harvey's a really bad team because the Aggie's looked great. PRFL is peaking at the right time. Getting better every game.

I was impressed for the first time this year by PRFL. They looked really good against a good team.
