Any thoughts on matchups people would like to see in the first round or maybe even in later rounds?

I'd have liked to see PRFL get a repeat shot at Langdon first then Larimore but not to be. I'll settle for a shot at Larimore in a couple weeks

I do think that PRFL vs Larimore again would be a totally different game than last time but do you think PRFL could pull out the win? I think Langdon vs Northern Cass would be a great matchup in the second round. Bishop Ryan and Hazen is another game I think has the potential to be one of the more interesting matchups of the playoffs.

I don't. Unless PRFL had some horse missing the first game, or Larimore has one missing this game. Otherwise, a 20+ point win for Larimore again.

If its full strength this time, and it was full strength last time, the margin is too much to make up in high school football. NFL, yes, you see it often.

Yes, PRFL had two starters missing that game. The 40 point margin could have very easily been a 20 point margin. So anything is possible.

This is my thoughts on the game as well. I know they were missing two or three very important starters so I know it will be a lot closer game but in high school football turning around the 40 point loss is a pretty difficult thing to do. This is another one of those games I am hoping will happen but PRFL has a very difficult road to get here. Harvey is a really solid team who plays great defense and good team football and Ellendale/EK is one of those teams you don't want to play in the playoffs because they have a lot of talent but aren't a one seed because of a lack of consistency or one or two bad games.

Saturday, October 22nd
G1: R1 #3 Carrington (4-4) @ R2 #2 Langdon (7-1) I will take Langdon in a 2 touchdown+ game. Unless Langdon overlooks Carrington, I just think they have too much firepower.
G2: R2 #3 Park River-FL (6-2) @ R1 #2 Ellendale/Edgeley-Kulm (6-2) I will take Park River-FL in a very close game (2 to 4 points). Park River seems to be figuring it out at a good time. If Ellendale-EK can hit a few big plays through the air this should be one of the best games of the weekend.
G3: R3 #3 Velva/Sawyer (6-2) @ R4 #2 Killdeer (6-2) I will take Killdeer in another close game. I think this is a pretty even matchup so Killdeer's big game experience will pay off.
G4: R4 #3 Heart River (3-5) @ R3 #2 Bishop Ryan (7-1) Bishop Ryan in a multiple score affair. Heart River earned a birth but I'm not convinced that Bishop Ryan isn't the best team out west. This isn't a good matchup for Heart River.

I'm going to say Carrington pulls an upset ( I think Langdon is struggling a little as of late and Carrington is peaking) PRFL by a touchdown. Killdeer and Bishop.

Berthold lost running back last week with broken leg. QB Nelson went down with injury early in game. Berthold was very short on numbers.

DLB sprinkled in a lot of young kids during game and had couple kids sit out…guessing Hazen approached game in same manner.

It was Hazen's homecoming. The starters played the whole game

Rumor has it +2 on the horses for PRFL. +1 PR -1 Larimore. PRFL needs to take care business vs EEK.

I think Park River-FL vs Ellendale-EK will be the best game this weekend but I think Carrington vs Langdon is a very interesting matchup. Carrington is hot at the right time and Langdon is a very good team who I don't think is playing at their potential the last few weeks. I think this all comes down to if Langdon can make enough big plays with their skill position guys to win.

Starters in the whole game?? That is kinda risky especially if your team isn't deep, and in a meaningless game for Hazen. Pull them in the second qrtr or half atleast, that is my opinion though.

Langdon 28 - Carrington 14
PRFL 24 - E/E/K 22 (Game of the wk, could go either way.)
KIlldeer 35 - Velva 13 (If Velva is balanced and plays physical it may be closer game. Both well coached.)
Minot Ryan 40 - Heart River 12

Predictions
Langdon - close game...Carrington has gained confidence down stretch but Langdon will pull away late
Park River-FL - This is the best matchup of the 1st Round...I think PRFL will show their muscle and win by 2 scores
Killdeer - Killdeer will win by double digits
Bishop Ryan - Lions win by several scores...HR has improved since week 1 but not enough to compete with BR

EEK will have to do better than an extra point to beat PRFL!!! This game could be close but PRFL 100% healthy. PRFL wins. .

Nope last time I checked it doesn't matter who your playing 1 point is enough to be declared the winner. 8) And I think it could be that close. I don't have a horse in the race but I think EEK may have just enough to squeak by. And that means a win is a win whether by one point or ten.
