Bottineau Tuesday, Friday-Oak Grove. Carrington, Larimore, Northern Cass, PRFL, Harvey, Bishop, Velva, Lewis and clark, Killdeer, westhope, Hazen. Some pretty good matchups this week. I think 4 or five will be close games that could possibly go either way.

Park River over MNS.much better game than last year, but still may not be close.
Larimore over Oakes. Ugly. Over 1/2 of Oakes' roster are freshmen.
Velva Sayer over SR. ugly game.
Bishop Ryan over SM handily.
EEK over Harvey WC. Good game. The win over Carrington surprised some, but they aren't what they were.
Langdon in a bit of an upset. Good game. I'd go with home team where ever they played.
LCOR over HR. I know nothing here....
DLB over Killdeer. See above
Hazen over Bottineau. I don't hunk Hazen will get back on track this week.
OG over LEDP big. know people have commented that Lakota has a lot of players back, I don't think it matters.
Rugby over Carrington. Total guess. I think Rugby is to big of a school to loose this one at home.
WHG over GM. Guess, based on Garrison typically struggling.

Wow, Park River edges M/NS 12-6 with a last minute touchdown. Incredibly fun game to watch and hard fought on both sides. First time seeing both teams play this year, and I must say I was skeptical about seeing M/NS receiving votes in the polls; but after the fight they put up against the number one ranked 2-time defending state champs they deserve it as much as anyone right now. Both teams were lead by phenomenal quarterbacks in Hanson and Hankey(sp.) as both were making plays all over the field on both sides of the ball. In the end Park River was just the stronger and more physical team and were able to grind out two late scores for the win. This is a matchup that I anticipate we have a good shot of seeing in the first round of the playoffs, and I hope they do because this a matchup that I want to enjoy again.

So they were down 6-0 late in the game?

PR's touch downs came with about 30 seconds remaining in the 3rd quarter and 35 seconds remaining in the fourth. The game ended on a pass batted down in the endzone with MNS at the PR 30 yard line.

It was a hard fought game by both squads. 2 turn overs on each team kind of evened things up a bit. I agree with an earlier poster who thought PR was a bit more physical. PR played without their full back, which should make them even more physical when he returns. MNS's line is young and I believe they are all first year starters on the offense. They should improve a lot as the season goes along. So maybe if they do match up again the young MNS line will close the gap as far as being physical with added experience.

It was a very entertaining game to watch.

No one on here picked Milnor.I think next week most will pick them. I don't see a clear favorite to win State. That's a good thing. PRFL finds a way to win. two weeks in a row. Going to be a great football season. I'd rather see a close game than a blowout :)

I was not surprised to see Langdon beat Northern Cass, but crushing them like they did, I didn't see coming. Did Brant Bohmert play in the game?
