That game shocked me too. Will Hazen get any of their starters that are out back for the playoffs?ndfootball4444 wrote:bisonation6 wrote:Has anyone heard what the deal was with Velva Friday?? I believe they were resting a few injured starters, i'm sure they will be fine for atleast the first round.

I believe 2 key starters that are out won't be eligible to return until the week of the the championship game.

Yes and the others are out for injuries or quit. Its bleak for the bison.

bisonation6 wrote:I think Velva would have been the 1 seed. Then they would have played Bishop Ryan in the quarters after a week off, and probably Killdeer in the West Final unless WNG upset them. Besides, they just surrendered home field for probably the rest of the year. Some say home field advantage doesn't effect games, it does. Now to make it to the ship, they must win a road game, followed by another and another. Not easy.
That's true but is anyone in the west going to challenge PRFL or Carrington?RattlerWebWonk wrote:bisonation6 wrote:I think Velva would have been the 1 seed. Had WNG, Velva and Bishop Ryan all won their final game, Velva would have been the #2 seed; meaning no bye. So for all intents and purposes, they only gave up one home game.

bisonation6, that is one of THE MOST ASININE COMMENTS I HAVE EVER HEARD. I don't have personal knowledge of what happened in Hazen, but if the kids quit, there should be no recourse. Any coach who would entertain the thought of asking a kid who quit to come back, should be kicked in the a$$ and shown his walking papers. Character development through sports is paramount...even ahead of winning. Winners never quit, and quitters never win. Pretty simple concept. I hope they're teaching that in Hazen.

Gotta change one pick. Harvey pulls an upset.madseason wrote:First round picks. Larimore, Northern Cass, Hazen, WNG. East was pretty easy to pick but the west seems like anyone can beat anyone.
Ha Ha! Good one. ? still remains.RattlerWebWonk wrote:madseason wrote:That's true but is anyone in the west going to challenge PRFL or Carrington?
Nope. During the three hours allotted for the Class A championship game, rather than play the game they'll just do a season highlight reel, team interviews and induct them into the ND Football Hall of Fame. )
