4 picks for Killdeer I wish that game was on BEK sports or something. I want to see that game. Everyone going with Harvey over Rugby too. Winner gets into the playoffs?

It'll be interesting to see what happens between Oakes and Northern Cass if Oakes can get their QB back for that game. They're playing for the 2 seed, imo.

Hazen/Killdeer Game of week. Harvey/Rugby#2 and Northern Cass/Oakes# 3 IMO for seeding sake. WNG/Bishop? Game?

WNG/Bishop score will probably end up lopsided. Bishop started the year paper thin and have lost 4 starters to injury. They also have a couple key skill players that are far less than 100%. Bishop would have to win by 30+ for it to have any real meaning for them. I have a hard time seeing Bishop win, let alone win by 30+. I wouldn't be surprised if they lick their wounds and try to enter their final game as healthy as possible. They win that game and they clinch the #3 spot from region 3.

Yea must have been a good game. Didn't see that coming.

WNG came out a little over confident I think. Bishop took the opening kickoff and punched them in the nose with a long, slow TD drive. Then did it again. Before they knew it, WNG was down 20-0 and looked a little shell-shocked. WNG hit a swing pass that turned into a long TD right before half. To their credit, Bishop did not crumble when the momentum shifted (like they had earlier in the year vs Rugby and Velva). The second half was a slugfest with the teams exchanging TDs. Even though the emotions were high on both sidelines (very enthusiastic crowds for both teams), the kids seemed to keep it clean; not a lot of chippiness, etc. The game also featured the 2 best running backs I've seen this year (on this side of the state, anyway). Chase Conway from WNG is a 190-pound road grader with some decent top end speed. He ended with about 145 yards. Aaron Sandy from Bishop is a ghost. He's a145-pounder that likes to run it up the middle and then squirt through holes after he clears the line. He has deceiving power and some of the best feet in the state. He ended with about 170 yards. The difference in the game was on the outside. The Bishop receivers were bigger/more physical than the WNG corners and used that to their advantage. I have a feeling if/when these 2 teams meet in the playoffs, it could be a completely different outcome...or more of the same. On a side note, the DI dude wasn't much of a factor at all. Seemed to be more of a space eater than a difference maker. But that's just my 2 cents. If you like high school football, it was a fun game to watch.

Thanks mad. I was a media member in eastern ND for over a decade (before any current high schooler was even in school). Sometimes I slip and let my roots show. :?
