I see and have heard Oakes could be tough this year. Did some checking. Athletic kids with some size. Balanced offensively.

I do think a team from the east has a shot to win this year. But, I don't think it will be Oakes. I would put Carrington, Hillsboro C/V, and Park River all ahead of them. It's early and they may surprise me. I would like to see them play a team that will finish at least 500 before moving them up.

I think it'll be carrington or Oakes from the east. Oakes is a good team I watched them play linton and they basically had that game wrapped up by halftime they play with a lot of energy and have some good depth for every position except maybe there line. Carrington has a lot of size and a couple good tail backs they play sharp defense I think there's a sour taste just from how the season ended last year being 6-0 loosing some key players due to injury then going 0-3 to finish out. I believe Oakes and carrington play on October 17th in Oakes hopefully both teams can stay healthy

I'm surprised at Rugby's performance this year. Going undefeated for the first four games is a huge deal. I think an excellent semi final round in the playoffs would be Hazen v. Killdeer and Rugby v. Oakes. I just have to say that if there is any year to watch Rugby, it's this one. Their senior class is stacked, and rugby doesn't have the depth or skill in the next few classes to do well in football.

Not Possible...Oakes would have to play someone from Region 1 or 2...Rugby is from Region 3 and would have to face either Hazen or Killdeer just to get to the Semifinals.

I'm simply saying they'do be a good pair of games. My statement had no bearing in fact. But I could definitely see a Rugby v Hazen semifinal game happening. And if Rugby goes into the last half the season playing like they did in the first part, it would be one heck of a rematch from last year's opening round.

I don't see how a better team like Larimore can physically dominate Park river by a pretty decent margin in week 3, then absolutely destroy Lakota in week four and still don't get any recognition for clearly being the better team in region 2. If someone could shed some light on that, it would be much appreciated.

Larimore has gotten wrecked by other teams this season. I don't know about Park River and Lakota and others in Region 2, but Larimore would need to win just about every other game in the season to show that they can compete in the playoffs with teams like Oakes, Hazen, Killdeer, and Rugby. Speaking of Rugby, didn't Larimore lose to Rugby in the first week by a large margin?

Larimore did lose to Rugby, don't want to take anything away from Rugby but Larimore did play without their all-state lineman who plugs the middle as well as anyone in state, maybe better! Larimore lost allot of good senior players from last year so they are a pretty young team! I don't understand HammerTime's quote "Larimore has gotten wrecked by other teams this season" they only had problems with Rugby. They did beat Park River this year who was ranked 2nd in state at the time. Hopefully they can get past the first round of the playoffs!
