Don't patronize Central Cass after you disrespected them. Try to be informed an objective.

Final 2 plays from VC/Wahpeton game:

Both from Wahpeton's 20 yard line, :03 remaining in game, VC ball, game tied 20-20.

2nd to last play: VC QB drops back to pass, runs...gets to about 8 or 9 yard line, first Wahp player makes contact, QB keeps moving, pretty soon players from both sides pushing on QB. VC side is winning and clearly making forward progress, then at about 2 yard line...ref blows whistle.

Refs have discussion, decide inadvertent whistle blown by umpire, so they gave VC another play from 20 yard line (where ball was spotted on the prior play). (IMO, with the momentum VC still had at the 2yd line...I think he was getting into the endzone had everyone not stopped when they blew the whistle)

Last play: This time, he drops back, throws sort of a fade to (top left) side of endzone....db in good coverage, pass a little short, WR comes back and catches it for TD with (obviously) no time left on clock.

I was not aware that an inadvertent whistle gave a team a "do-over". I always thought it was just part of the game and if it happened, well, it happened and tough luck for whoever it hurt.

And how do they come up with a do-over from the original spot? What about one more play from where the ball was when they blew the inadvertent whistle? I was surprised there even was a rule that said you could get a do-over at all, but to me, it would make more sense to give the play from where the ball was when they whistle was blown inadvertently.

Also....IMO,

1.) Shanley
2.) Casselton
3.) St. Mary's/Jamestown
5.) Devils Lake
______________
5-10.Everyone else.

Obviously he is a bit bitter from his prediction last week.

Same sort of deal happened last week in the Shanley v. Watford game. Watford punted the ball and the receiver fumbled the punt and a watford player picked it up and would have run it for a touch down but the refs blew the whistle inadvertently. Watford not only had to repunt but was robbed of a touchdown due to the whistle. Even the shanley fans thought it was unfair. It’s a weird rule imo.

Devils Lake with a wide TOP and statistical edge over St. Mary's, but commit 3 turnovers and get stopped inches short of the goal line on a two-point conversion attempt with about 30 seconds to play.

How did Devil's Lake keep it that close?
