Sniper...

Thought I'd better wait til after the game, but curious as to how you chose to pick Ryan over St. Mary's?

Saints beat Beulah by 4+ touchdowns with underclassmen playing a majority of the 2nd half (at Beulah). Ryan lost by a wide margin at Beulah. Tonight's game was a home game for the Saints. If it had been in Minot, I could maybe see how an upset could be possible...but not sure how anyone could have seen something in the teams' play this year to indicate Ryan would get the edge in this game.

Just wondering... :D

Sounds like it would have been a great game to watch! Valley is out? and CC travels to Bismarck on Saturday?

Great back and forth game. Central Cass returned two kickoffs for touchdowns and Valley was pounding it on the ground. Came down to Central Cass making more plays than Valley late.

A 4th and 9 TD pass with 3 minutes left + 2pt conversion by CC broke a 32 all tie after Valley was stopped on 4th down at midfield. An interception by CC with 2:30 left on a pass that was tipped twice seemed to seal the deal. But Valley got the ball back on their own 14 with 1:21 left and drove the ball to their own 45, but they were stopped short a yard or two short on 4th down giving CC the victory and playoff berth.

Had a playoff atmosphere written all over it as it was pretty much a play-in game. The offenses for sure exploded in the 2nd half as Valley only lead 16-12 at halftime. Too bad someone had to lose this game.

Was at the game, this summary of it is as accurate as it gets. Valley City is a young and talented team that will contend for the next 2 years. Also, with them moving to the west, they could be a perennial top 2 team.
