FIRST ROUND PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS: There are some interesting match-ups in the playoffs. Both the West and East feel that they have the superior teams, so these games will be telling. Aside from Shanley and St. Mary's predictions to win their first round games, I predict Wahpeton will win over Bishop Ryan. Not sure about Grafton vs. Beulah. Grafton has been a tough team, but Beulah has made a good showing this season as well.

I'm going to say, that the East will go 3-1, with St Mary's the lone winner from the west.
Close game between Beulah and Grafton, but they pull out the victory. All other games will not be close...

You could be right...but won't matter in the end. This entire season has been proving to pave the way for St. Mary's and Shanley to meet in the last game of the year. If that plays out, should be a great game!

They have seemed to be the 2 best teams, so that would be a treat for us fans...

Predictions:
Fargo Shanley: 42-6 (Shanley will be too much for Wolves)
Beulah: 34-12 (Miners Defesne is too much)
Bismarck St. Mary's: 38-14 (Squirrels speed keeps them in game early...Saints too much late)
Wahpeton: 22-14 (Huskies control game)

Shanly and St Mary's in the championship, I'll take St Mary's by 1

Class AA First Round Predictions

Fargo Shanley 41, Watford City 6
Shanley will cruise to a 1st round victory over the Wolves of Watford City. WC will score late on Shanley's 2nd string to prevent a shutout.

Grafton 28, Beulah 26 (OT)
This is the best game of the 1st round in AA. The game will be back and forth battle throughout and will head into overtime. Grafton will pull off a road victory in Beulah by stopping a 2-point conversion on the last play of the game.

Bismarck St. Mary's 35, Central Cass 20
This possibly could be a trap game for St. Mary's. Central Cass has some speed that will keep the game close in the first half, especially with a QB that can run like a chicken with his head cut off. But St. Mary's will make the adjustment and pull away in the 2nd half for a victory.

Wahpeton 33, Minot Bishop Ryan 13
This could be a close game despite Bishop Ryan's recent struggles. But ultimately with the game at Wahpeton, they'll put the game on ice in the 2nd quarter and end the Lions season with three losses in a row.

Fargo Shanley 35, Beulah 13
Shanley will again roll in the playoffs. Beulah will keep it close early, but with Shanley's skill-set, they'll be playing in the State Championship game.

Bismarck St. Mary's 21, Wahpeton 14
This rematch of last year's state title game will be another dandy. But with the game in Bismarck, St. Mary's will hold off the Huskies and advance to the Championship game.
