In my opinion I could possibly see me losing two of my picks this week...it depends on how Shanley and St. Mary's bounce back.

TMCHS defeated a team from Manitoba.

Kindred has a very athletic team (especially in the backfield -> QB, RB)

Belcourt beat a Manitoba team. Not sure how that works when they play two different kinds of football...

Rural Manitoba Football League (RMFL) our former League

The RMFL dates back to 1958 and was originally called the Southwestern Manitoba High School Football League, with the Boissevain Rams being the inaugural champions. There have been a number of teams come and go throughout the many years of existence and has been down to three teams at time.

2008 brought two separate divisions in the RMFL, a 12-man division and a 9-man division. The Teams in their respective divisions are as follows:

**12-Man Division

· Crocus Plains Plainsmen
· Neelin Spartans
· Parkwest Outlaws
· Vincent Massey Vikings

9-Man Division

· Dauphin Clippers
· Neepawa Tigers
· Southwest Sabres
· Stonewall Rams
· Virden Golden Bears

Well, Canadian and American football are two different things. Canadian football has 12 players, plays on a bigger field, only has 3 downs to get a first down, and no rules regarding motion.

Was at the Bishop Ryan-Trinity game. Ryan's line was probably the biggest difference in this game. They controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Even though Trinity failed to close out another game, they are much better than their 1-3 record would show. They are a solid team all around. Their downfall is their line, which is weird since they have some giant kids on there.

Well like I said, their line was really the problem. Gordon threw well except for his terrible decision on the pick 6. He was being spun down and just flung one up and it got picked and ran in by Ryan. He made a another bad throw on a seam that got picked and then in the 4th his receiver dropped one right off his hands that led to the pass being intercepted. He threw for 215 yards though, so they had their success through the air. They couldn't run the ball because of the line getting blown up. Schiff had 45 yards on 24 carries. Defensively, they defended the pass well holding Eggl to 104 passing yards. They had some problems stopping the run up the middle. Fugere ran for 96 and Eggl ran for 74, most of them coming on QB blast or quick hitting handoffs. They stopped the outside run pretty well. They played a pretty good game, but didn't finish too well. The only spot they weren't solid at was interior line play and it did them in.

That is a fair question. Wahpeton was pre-season ranked at the bottom of the east. Maybe you could shine some light on the strengths and abilities of the number 1 team in ND. Did they get stronger over summer? Is there a sophmore/freshman class that is contributing? New offense/defense? Kids stepping up?

Obviously they improved their game from last year. They lost quite a few seniors but the underclassmen are doing much better than the seniors were from the year before. Nobody has been able to stop the huskies yet this year, especially on the ground. Zayne Medhaug has torn apart every defense and he's also been a stopper for them on defense as well. With 3 solid running backs on the huskie offense they have many options and so far they've taken full advantage.
