well it'd probably be more correct as Ott and the squad, with Moormann, Andrew Brown, Scott Laplante and Derrick Popiel starting. that's 6'5, 6'9, 6'8, 6'3, 6'1 and big Brett Bauer at 6'6 300# off the bench.

Jacobson lead Shanley Deacons.  Back to back State Championships in late 90's
I never blame myself when I'm not hitting. I just blame the bat and if it keeps up, I change bats. After all, if I know it isn't my fault that I'm not hitting, how can I get mad at myself?

I think we have had this thread before....

Fargo South 1989!!   25 - 0,  best team I have ever seen and I have been following North Dakota boys basketball for 30 years!!

Chris Gardner, Tony Paper, Greg Stephens, Brock Satter, Steve McAndrew...  they were called Phi slama jama,   every player on the team could dunk, including the JV

I agree, case closed.  But do you remember their scare in the first round that year?

yes,  it was against Dickinson, Chris Carlson had a great game, the Midgets took the bruins to ot,  if I remember right Gardner got a steal and dunk to clinch it... they went on to blow out West Fargo in the Championship game

Jamestown used to have the best teams around and I believe they actually beat South a year or two before that.  Bryan Flam Jeff Gould Steve Koenig

Let's look at this closer...the 1989 Fargo South team as juniors (1988) were 17-8.  The 2001 Fargo North team as juniors (2000) were 22-3.  What does that tell us?

Not much except there were better teams in 1988 than 2000 maybe.
