Alright former players, heres a place to brag about your coachers, present and mostly past.  Some great names in BB history, who were some of the best, Beyer, Hunskor, Jerry Meyer?

Bob Torgramson from West Fargo,  he got more out of his players than any other coach when he was at WF.... and he is still doing it at Dilworth-Glyndon Felton

Tom Lium had so much talent at South when he was there... he should have won 4 or 5 state titles in a row!!   he won 2...  '86 and '89

Manson is good but again he has had so much talent at Minot,   the true test of a great coach is when he has average talent and his team overachieves!!!

Miller in Bismarck.  He has numbers to work with; however, he still gets most all of his teams to overachieve.

many great teams have under achieved with above average talent. Boschee and Terry at Valley City come to mind. I'll still give credit to coaches that win. talent/no talent you still have to win. 5-6 years ago Litchville had a loaded team and laid an egg at state. There's other examples of 'loaded' teams that can't put it together come tourney time.

I can think of a couple how about Lisa Brieland when she was a Richland and Marc Langseth when at Oak Grove two great people on and off the court. I know this coach was a MN. coach but helped at alot of camps and a legend in Pelican Rapids and that was Rex Haugen.

Carlson from Mwkn has to be mentioned.  Longevity at one school and his teams have always been good.

Manson has 600 wins. That's impressive anywhere.

I gotta put my old high school coach on here, too.  Shawn Larson from Leeds was voted state coach of the year for 3 straight years (97-99)  Only coached from 93-99 in Leeds then spent 7 years at Washburn.  Took 4 Leeds teams to state and had numerous region runnerups at Leeds and Washburn.  Doesn't have the longevity many of the previous mentioned coaches have or the number or wins, but that is a pretty impressive span of years.

Right now there are three active coaching legends. Nelson, Carr, and Carlson are all amzing coaches. They all have one thing in common: they went to mayville state.

Cooter Symington, around 10 years as coach, 2 state appearances, 1 title, out of a tough region 2.  Both state teams were not expected to get as far as they did.

Eddie Beyer best of all-time.

I think that Gregg Grinsteiner from Trinity high school has a chance to become a coaching legend. since he has been there Trinity has been awesome. in the state tournament every year. he has two state championships already.
