Fargo Flames Roster

Postby AC-DC » Tue Jan 29, 2008 9:12 am

Just trying to clarify a rumor, I heard the Flames managed to put together a full roster. Is that true? If so, when and how did that happen? We played them on 15 Dec, the last day for roster submissions, and, I don't remember the exact number, but they still only had about 12 players. Anyone know for sure?

Heard they picked up 2 or 3 and they are realy good. Looks like a 4-peat.

I think you have to take the posts of #18 and look at them for what they are. A kid posting attempting to get a rise out of other posters, which he is accomplishing just about every time. You just have to look at his posts and laugh sometimes.

So tell me? in youth governed hockey-- by NDAHA, there are rules in place for roster submissions.
Especially for Jr. Gold, right?

because if there aren't, what's to say that the Fargo team couldn't pick up some HS players from F.South and roster them.
HS Hockey is over before the Jr. gold State tourney -right? probably 3-4 weeks almost

And the fact is HS hockey is not sanctioned in ND under USA hockey, right?

Boy that could open up a can of worms in this area.

They either have to pick between HS9if they have it at their school) or Jr. gold, or have that choice picked for them(ie: getting cut from Hs team at try-outs).
but what if a kid is K-O'd from the HS team before the end of the season?

Can he then go to play Jr. gold? It is for keeping kids playing and or in our case, have them have an option for Hs age level comp. and keep playing, since there is no HS hockey at school.

boy I would hate to be the Flames this yr. they got in trouble last yr. -right?
I think I heard that along the way.

I say play by the rules, it is the only way. you can't drive the highways any way you want, you have to follow rules. or pay the piper.

The dates for rostering are set in the NDAHA rules; http://www.ndaha.org/RULES___REGULATIONS.doc
It basicaly talks about submitting a team roster by 15 Dec, to verify high school registration, and has a transfer date of 20 Jan.
So did they get any new players and when/how?

I'm pretty sure they have to ask the NDAHA but maybe they did and got permission. NOt sure about getting in trouble last year but they won state. I dont know if the guys they got came from HS though. I guess just let em play.

Nobody is answering the question, how many players do they currently have? If it's less than 12, we saw those in December. If it's a full roster of 20, something suspicious is going on. Does anyone know for sure?

who cares how many players they have. this team had 6 players to start the year. so let them get some more bodies so one of the kids doesnt have a heart attack

A couple of kids within the regulations sure, but a full roster so that it now "looks like a 4-peat" is another deal. Just trying to get the facts.

We actually started a game the other day against Bottineau JV with only 6 kids. Most fun we've had all year.

Won't be a 4-peat.... How'd you come out against Bottineau?

Like I said it was fun, until the rest of the team showed up, but I'll leave it at that.

they dont have a full roster they just have enough kids to actually have a couple lines. i watched them play the flyers last night and i really wouldnt worry to much about them causing to much damage to the other teams in the state. they might have been better with the original 7 kids any way
