Yea, they won state for the 11-12 season. Word on the street is they broke ground for the rink not long ago. I hear it'll be worth the wait

Yes, there is civilization outside of MInot, GF, Fargo etc. Crosby has a strong program along with other small towns in ND. Alot of talent in the small towns, dont have the depth to compete with the "big boys" but very passionate folks running the small town programs.

Grafton-Park River has been doing it for years and still is one of the better programs in the state. They make the best with what they got. They rarely cut anyone so its not like they have many kids to choose from.

Grafton and Park River have done an excellent job supporting their hockey programs (youth through high school). There are a lot of dedicated parents and kids as well as the financial backing needed for a strong, successful program. In recent years kids from other districts, including Minto, Drayton, and Cavalier, have also been contributors to Grafton's program.

History:
Both Grafton and Park River have had high school programs since the 60s.

Grafton had the first indoor hockey arena in North Dakota (Winter Sports Arena).

Grafton was the first non-Grand Forks winner of the state tournament in 1978.

Grafton won the title again 1985.

Park River joined Grafton starting in the 1985-86 season.

Grafton - Park River has won the title three times (1991, 2002, 2008) and have been runner-up several times, most recently in 2011 and 2012.

Crosbys arena was brought up as a community center with swim pool and basketball court etc. Now it is simply going to be a hockey arena. Hope it goes well.
