How is that Kyle Stephens kid from Minot doing with the switch from Jr.Gold to High School. Is he able to keep up with the different pace of game?

I think you have to put Ross Kovacs in the mix, hes offensive minded defensemen and can get points for his team, and stop the puck when its coming into dickinsons zone. Hes only a sophomore tho so im thinking a little experience time could hurt?

Bair is good at reading what is about to happen. He is far from being a big hitter, but his puck handling skills make up for that. I would put him in the top three.

No way Bair is in the top 3. Rehak and basically all of BHS's defensemen are all better than Bair. Bair has no size or shot and a good player can get around him easily it seems like

You gotta be joking hardly anybody get get by him (with the puck) he doesnt take the body much, but he does have a good shot. His hockey sense is alot better then most as well when he brings the puck up ice he doesnt loose it and he makes good passes. To bad the seasons over so you couldnt take another look. Maybe go watch when he plays team nd. Are you sure you werent looking at someone else?

Bair is for sure not in the top 3. And for watching him on Team ND, I highly doubt he will even make Team ND. He is not a big playmaker, he doesn't get any big hits, and he doesn't seem like much of a leader for his team. There are many better defensemen and I would say he barely makes the top 10 in the west.

Pat Bair is a top 3 defenseman in the WDA. He led their mandans defense in points. First line every game, mandan had a really low goals against, he helped alot with that(along with kline in the net) he is a very legit defenseman. No he isnt a big hitter, but why do u need to hit big when u can just stay home and take the puck from someone he is legit.

And as far as his leadership he has been a 4 year varsity player, and a disciplined player and that shows with only 3 penalties all year, he doesnt let the other team in with off the puck checks and stupid penalties.

Yeah no way Bair makes Team ND. Here is my list of 6 Defensemen who if they tried out would be on Team ND
Ryan Ladouder Red River
Jarret Galbreth Red River
Colby Rehak Williston
Jared Labere Bismarck High
Billy Peterson Grafton
Then either Jorey Heit of Devils Lake, Gage Kulig of Minot, or Colby Nordstrom from Bismarck High

For Senior defensemen I would say yeah either 5 or 6 from the West. Probably 7 or 8 though for all Defensemen in the West.

I believe that someone posted in a different thread that Ryan La Douceur was drafted by Lincoln Stars of the USHL, but will be playing with the F-M Jets of the NAHL, which will make him not available for Team North Dakota. I know you said "if" they tried out for Team ND, I am just stating that if he is indeed playing in the NAHL or USHL, he will not be trying out for Team ND.

to me REHAK was the best defensmen in the west, that is before this past season. i dont know what happend to him he was an animal from 8th grade till his junior year but this past year it just seemed like he didnt have as many big hits and such or maybe im wrong, but he was for sure the team leader for the coyotes on and off the ice
