theyll have a nice skating/puking practice tomorrow...from what ive heard, coach philibrick(sp?) likes to watch the kids skate, as does coach wilson.

South outplayed them and outshot them like 50-20. Plus Deichert (sp?) didnt have a good game, and there were two empty net goals. I think that if they didnt play RR on sat. that they would skate, but i dont think they will though. Im gonna say South rebounds with a nice 4-2 victory over RR.

I don't know about that South got outplayed in the last game against Red River.  But looking forward to a great game though!!!

Wasn't at the Crookston game, but I heard South didn't play its first 2 lines.  I am sure it's just a rumor.  Anyone go to the game??

that could be true. from looking at the score i the paper, i didnt see any of the first two lines in the stats which is quite the rarity for them.

Diechert looked ok, he rarely got beat on the first shot he had NO HELP. Red River right now is a machine.

RR dominated plain and simple... I highly doubt Diechart "looked ok".  Did he play the whole game???  What a joke of a game from South.. Hats of to RR..  Doesn't seem like Diechart has been on his game since the White Bear Lake game...

So now we are going to put the problems of South on the goalie? How many game are you going to win scoring zero? Two empty net goals against Crookston. Sean is still one of the best in the state.

All I'm saying is I have seen Sean play all but 2 games this year (Crookston, RR) and he hasn't looked good at all plain and simple... A lot of weak goals all year... I am sure there is a lot of people that agree with me there... But you are right if they can't score doesn't matter who is in net.

RR should move Minnesota so they have some competion.  There is abviouly none in this state.

sean shouldn't even be considered the best goalie in the state look at his numbers he gets like 20 shots a game. you could put any goaile in his spot and they would do just as well.

South seems to have hit a speed bump but they have two things. They  have talented players and more importantly they have TIME. The East Region regular season isnt done for a few weeks and they could still possibly grab the East Region Tournament and head to state with the #1 seed. I understand Red River beat them twice but im convinced south can still rebound and make a run. On another Note I dont think Sean Deichert is the problem with their recent skid he may have had a couple of "off" games but that will happen , I beleive that south's problem or problems may be internal.

South was overrated from the beginning.  Red River is still the powerhouse of north dakota hockey.  They have the best coach in the state in Matt Malm.  Dean Wilson is not even on the same planet as Malm.  Red River knows how to play as a TEAM.  South is a bunch of individuals out looking to make their stat sheet look nice.

All I am trying to say is that anything can still happen and that South could possibly still win the State Championship and thats not an opinion just a fact.

siouxfan4life; you obviously know nothing about Mr. Wilson. I leave it at that.

Cmon Razor, honestly how can you even put Wilson in the same category as Malm.  I think Malm's track record speaks for itself.  With all this"so called" talent South has and they get beat down by an 8-0 score to RR.  Outskated, outcoached, out everything simple as that.

Another reason why malm maybe a better coach. Everyone talks about how fargo youth teams are startingto  beat the grand forks ones starting 10 years ago. If this is true, how come we dont see it in high school. Probably becuz of the different caoches.

south has good players, but they dont have good attitudes and they dont play as a team. red river has good players and they have good attitudes, and they play as a team.
