1. Red river- no explanation needed
2. South- whole team is returning
3. Davies- should still have a solid team, but lost a ton of talent
4. North- lost nearly whole team, still some talent
The rest really doesn't matter

 Is this a joke? How can you talk about talent when these schools struggle against Grafton year after year. Even with Park River, Grafton has an enrollment nowhere near South, Davies, North or any other Class A school for that matter. That said, with the exception of Red River, none of those teams matter because they can beat any night.

Grafton-Park River has a great program and always finds a way to get it done. Rarely ever cutting a single person. Quality>Quantity

GPR is looking like a true contender in the EDC. Maybe the best team they have had in the past 3-4 yrs.
YES--they played in two straight Title games (losing to North in 12' and to Red River in 13')
But could they be more balanced than those past teams, this year?
Scoring is coming from all angels.
The State title is still a challenge for any team outside of Grand Forks.(plain and simple it always comes down to that).... But GPR could be the early on Favorite IMO.
A couple of others might be able to sneak in there--Like WDA leaders: BHS (has Spooner), Minot(has Schwarz & Fuchs plus Goalie).
Sleepers from the East: GF Central (probably most improved from last yr. lot of returning players), maybe Davies (but lost a lot of Sr's.. Have Growth-all EDC in 12-13', and those twins (with hair-holy cow), not many others and a new goalie)
And then: Forgot one other EDC Favorite: South High---returning entire roster from last year. They will most likely head to state at the top of the EDC.
That is why they play the games- Long season ahead- should be FUN!
See ya all at the Rink!

Follow up to the Post from Nov. 27th.
I thought-

Seems like GPR has moved to the TOP of the EDC 24 pts/ 8-2-0-1 record- as of 1/24/14
Red River is right there. South/Shanley right there, Central(still the sleeper)..Davies maybe a little better than earlier thought.
In the West-- well no surprise- BHS, CHS, Minot and the rest (Jamestown looked like a top 4 team--for a little)
Long Season is now coming down to the last few games. Fun for all.
Who do you think will make the late season run? How do you think it will shake out?

GPR has been in three straight title games. The Spoilers lost to Red River in 2011.

 You couldn't be more wrong. North beat Grafton for the title in 2 OTs.

I don't know where you get your information, but there is this cool site called Google. I suggest using it.
