is he still in the cleaning business?

Last I heard - but I haven't seen him or heard from him in awhile. But you got me curious to look him up and say hi.

He manages a beauty salon and clothing store in West Fargo - I don't think we can mention names of businesses on this site - otherwise I would tell you, but that is where he's at.

unless it's 18+.....you can give the biz a plug on the site...maybe autograph seekers could ping business????

Nope - The name is Westside Hair salon and Dasch's Duds in West Fargo. I'm sure Dash wouldn't mind autograph hounds and paparazzi. LOL

I believe Rodney Bachmiere played in the mid 70s.  I know he played on the 74 team in Esmond that went undefeated.  Not sure if that was his senior or junior year though.

Irhy was pretty good, quick little guy. I got a pretty good lick on him in a playoff game in '97. Wow that seems like a long time ago:D

How bout from region 1 and the old southeast conference? Had some good teams in the '90's EK, W-L, Sargent Central, Hankinson

Good old Region 1 from the Late '80s to early '90s.....

Wyndmere-Lidgerwood had a few good players through that period...Tim Gelinske - Troy Wittenburg both went on to play college ball.  Tim was a starting WR at UND.  They won the state title with Tim really carring the weight.  Dave Hodgson really developed talent from both Wyndmere and Lidgerwood over the 10 year period from 1987-1997.  W/L should have won back-to-back titles in '92 and '93 but the move to 11man hurt the run.  The years from '89 to '93 showed some good talent with Ryan Johnson, Eric Busch, Shane Kadoun, and Ed Mitchell.  W/L played and beat a lot of the talent outlined from Page to BCN to Hankinson to Edgley to Sargent Central throughout this period.

Hankinson made quite a splash with players such as Brad Mauch, Adam Mauch, Joe Mauch, Mike Wilm....they won the state title in '91.

There must have been some very good football in the SE part of the state those years.  Correct me if i'm wrong but, Wynd-Lidg, Hankinson, Sargent Central and Edgeley-Kulm won state 9 man titles in consecutive years right?

WL - 87

PHCG - 89

HS - 91

WL - 92

SC - 93

EK - 94

All Region 1 teams and they all beat up on each other over that period.  A lot of great games between W-L and HHS....the games in 91 and 92 were probably two of the best games in the state in that time period.

It just so happens I'm the youngest brother of Eric Busch....shoot I still remember watching those games the last year they won the championship.  That year it was him, Ed Mitchell, Kadoun and also some good role players in Paul Kuzel and Chris Ohm as well.  The games between W-L and Hankinson were some of the best I've seen in a long time, and remain to be a great rivalry now, the last two years each game decided by one point to ranked teams....that's football.  Also the Mauch boys from Hankinson were very good ball players, and the last one is FINALLY graduating this year, and he's not a horrible player by any means at all either.

Those regions were tough back in the day and they still are. More often than not your season ended by playing in that area.

Running back, he was a senior in 89 when they won it. He played two years at Whap. Science and did quite well.

What's your problem with Daschendorf - a stud back on a state championship team from a tiny school - I think that fits the criteria of the topic.

Should have never taken the rip on the original post- I took it off-- I have no problem with Dasch- he was a decent player, but he wasn't even the best player on THAT team.

Mike Jacobson was the best player on that team. Who was their QB?

One year I believe it was Chad Kraft, and the other year was Kainz - who's now the head coach - I'm not positive on this but that is what I remember.
