I would like to mention that Christine Schmaltz of NDSU (originally from Watford City) ran a NDSU school record in 800 Meter Run (2:01.17) this weekend at the USA Track & Field Championships out in Eugene, Oregon.

Her time is the fastest time by ANY collegiate runner this year.

Not to mention that Whitney Carlson placed high in the long jump and heptathlon... her long jump was over 21' which is pretty incredible since she's only 5'3.

BTW, a former NDSU triple jumper, Amanda Smock, got her first national championship (she went over 46'.)
