Postby ndtrack3 » Sun Feb 28, 2010 11:07 pm

March, 16 at U Mary. Track is finally here. Anyone have athletes to keep an eye out for to begin the season?

His contention will be based a lot off of who runs but the field at WDA is often weak in the 400 indoors so who knows. I will say the statement of his work over the offseason is very true though.

Yeah, I know the manager at the fine macdonald's restaurant, he tells me that swanson is one of his best customers and he orders the triple decker everytime. He's the main reason that the macdonalds is doin so great in a rough economy.

Well, not beasting up Century here but I would keep an eye out for Mitch Ohlhauser too. He ran a 51.56 last year as a soph. So I expect to see him at the front of the pack at alot of races this year

Olhauser is very good. You know off hand his PR as a freshman? I know it was at least in the 52s but I can't remember if he qualified or not.

53.61 as freshman. He didn't qualify indiv. I don't think, but he was apart of Century's 4x4 in state that year.

Olhouser ran 54.high last year at wda indoor last year. I am sure that he comes into this season a little out of shape. I have no doubt he will beat swanson outdoors but indoors i like Swanson's chances.

Because some one who runs 51.5 but only runs 54.8 the first meet is out of shape. It's not that Swanson worked so much harder on his own but Swanson had the opportunity to train with high level sprinters since September. I doubt that Olhouser had these opportunities.

I hate McDonalds. However, if you want to know, my weakness is ice cream.

Golly gosh that could be the best compliment I've ever gotten.

Thanks powercat (my best friend and primary training partner) for the talking up, hence why he may seem to be a little biased. It should be a fun track year, I look forward to racing everyone.

Uetz had a sinus infection, but he'll run.
And yes, there are a bunch of Red River kids dropping out of track, including some sprinters.
