Post your predictions for state qualifiers in the sprints for the WDA this upcoming year. I've grouped mine in order of school, although if you want to do yours by event or even better yet group by event in order of qualifying time, go for it.

If I forgot someone that you think should be on, remember I might have just forgot them before you get upset.

First time individuals qualifiers for the sprints are in italics.

Bismarck
Shane Kuntz - 100, 200
DeWayne Liggens - 100, 200
Channing Mann - 100, 200, 400
Randy Tardiff - 100, 200, 400
Alex Neumiller - 200
Johnny Marquez - 200, 400

I think Liggins could potentially qualify in the 400 as well. Magstadt in the 200 is pretty likely. Look for Layne Johs, a BHS freshman, to be in the mix as well in the 1-4.

Anyone else know of incoming freshman that will make an impact? I know Mack from Dickinson is pretty legit, but I think he's still a year off in qualifying in the 400.

Also, you being close to the situation, what do you think of Koester this year? And do you think Mandan will have Coyle run any opens, and what do you think he might do for times if he does? (if he ran any opens last year it's slipped my mind by now)

Koester could qualify in the 100 on a windy day and the 200 on a really windy day. Coyle will probably quality in the 300 hurdles, 400, and javelin. I don't think he has the breakaway speed needed in the 1 and the 2.

I believe it. He was carried off the court against Mandan. Too bad. This kid works very hard.

That's the first time anything in a serious post I made giving Century credit has been disputed lol

Leard ran a 23.54 in the 200 at WDA and ran some respectable 100s against some stiff competition last year. I think if he gets enough opportunities to run in the opens he should be able to qualify.

joe leard is for sure fast enough to qualify in both the 100 and the 200. idk kenny probable can in the 100. and welk did tear it or something like that but he looked pretty fast at the first out door meet winning the 100.
