track guy wrote:wow "im lovin it" no one said that century was going to win state this year, now did they. I said that century should be top 2 or 3. If you can not understand what you are reading maybe you should go back to junior high!!! let me guess, you are probable one of those BHS kids who think they are the coolest thing ever. If you can not read a comment on the web and not take it personal, even though nothing was said of CHS winning state, then STAY OFF THE NET!!!!

track guy wrote:Alright, BHS had roughly 120 more kids in their graduating class last year and about 400 more in the total school. Within those 400 kids you are bound to find a hand full of kids that are semi-athletic. So don't try and say that the number of kids are not going to help out a track team, it does. And by the way, what exactly are you being part of when you are not a state qualifier? State is the only meet that matters.
track guy wrote:Alright, i will give you that. i know that some kids will just come out for tack to give it a worl and end up qualifing. You have to admit though, the more kids you have that come, the more chance that you have of qualifing those kids. The more kids you have qualified, the better chance you have at scoring points at the big meet.

i agree with you 100% but what i am saying is that just cause bhs has more kids then some school doens't mean thats the sole reason they win are good... if that was the case then fargo south should win state tack every year
trackstar12 wrote:i think bismarck's exessive number of kids helps them in track a great deal...in cross country where only the top 5 or so count you dont need to field a large team, so smaller teams can stay competative, but in track when one team has 100 kids and your team has about 30 and all are possible scorers(not just top 5) the bigger team tends to dominate

yea but in xc, if you have a team that has 40 kids and your bound to have at least 5 solid runners and when u can run 20 a meet if one kid has a bad meet he has a teammate to back him up
