bismarck will have rob feild ryan kadrmas  ani mendieta and dion schulz returning all qualifiers in the 800

Just to clarify, Bismarck has three true qualifiers back in the 800 - Field, Witham, and Reichenberger. They all ran/split 1:59 last season. Schulz qualified for state in the WDA meet, and ran 2:04 at state. Kadrmas and Mendieta have run 2:03-2:04ish, but have definately not qualified by time(2:01.5).

yeahh bismarck will be tough for soo long with 120 kids showing up opening day and more to come once basketball is over is just nasty, if you cant pull 4 top 800 runners from that i dont know who could but i still feel spots 2-5 could be a little more surprising then people might have thought preseason

I believe in in Class A the 2 mile relay strong teams will be Bismarck, Minot, Jamestown, Century, Mandan, and possibly Fargo North and possibly Dickinson.

No chance BHS is gonna roll by at least 10 seconds.

Lyle Witham- under 2:00

Ryan Kadrmes- right around 2:00

Andrew Reichenberger- for sure under 1:59

Dion Schultz-around 2:00

they have alot more guys too that can run sub 2:08

Noone will beat BHS, plus who does jamestown have besdies Larson who will urn a 1:55?

...don't forget rob field, also from bismarck, who ran 1:59 last year at state

jamestown has Aaron Motacek from the second place state 3200 relay team last year, and he is only a junior, but other than him and larson i'm not really sure who they(jamestown) have. I suppose the Slusser twins will get a chance to fill the roll...they always seemed to have good finishing kicks in xc

But yeah, it does appear that bismarck has to be the overwhelming favorite once again with all of their depth

I've never seen such depth at a high school level. Seems like running under 2 minutes at BHS is only mediocre. haha

Yea BHS has a good freshman to that can supposibly run a 2:04 so there gonna be ooo so tough. They might be able to put together 3 teams to beat anyone in the state.

3 is pushin it. I would say they are going to have the number 1 for sure, and they could put another team together that would place in the top 5.

Yep, Jake Miller. The kid split a 2:04 in the 3200 relay in Fargo, the first meet of the year. Pretty inmpressive for only a freshman! It  will be interesting to see how low he can take his 800 time this year, and over the next three seasons. I bet he goes low 1:59 this year...
