There is some hope of one in Moorhead at Concordia College for Thursday...I've also heard Kindred is considering one next Saturday.

lisbon hosted a small meet today i believe and are also hosting another one this weekend that should bring in quite a few teams.

Lisbon's meet on Friday is bringing in teams from across the state...mostly SouthEast Regional teams...but other notables are Bishop Ryan, Langdon, Thompson, Strasburg; also Shanley, Davies, GFC & GFRR are bringing their throwers.

It should be a HUGE MEET.

Also Concordia is possibly hosting one on Tuesday that could have well over 20 teams participating in it.

Sounds like Lisbon's meet is pushing 30 teams...it'll feel like a mini-State meet!

Those of us at the Bismarck meet today saw a horrific leg injury happen to the state's best pole vaulter Jack Abfalter. There were many new qualifiers, but this injury put a shadow on the highlights of the meet which included a new state record in the mile.

You can't set State records anywhere but at the state meet.

Sorry to hear about Abfalter

Why does the NDHSAA insist that only state records can be set at the state meet? Records set at the state meet should be "state meet records." If they happen to be the fastest the state has ever seen call it a state record.

Am I the only one who gets a kick out of the Frolek girl from MWL?! She's about 5 feet and takes it to the big girls! Fun to watch her race

Agreed - although I don't think she's even 5 feet tall yet! Daily News out of Wahpeton did a piece on her and Jeff Illies last year before the state tournament. Great picture of Jeff high jumping over Peyton. Both athletes qualified for state in their first outdoor meet on Friday - Jeff in three events and Peyton in one.

If I may, the coach at Bismarck keeps updated lists of all-time records that include all meets, not just state. Here is the list of all-time bests for Class A&B Boys, updated as of this weekend with Jake's mile:

Class B Favorites right now (Teams)

Girls: Carrington, Kindred, Hazen, Thompson
Boys: Lisbon, Kindred, Killdeer

Obviously there are a few more...but these are the top teams right now.
