Very Impressive. Katie Conlon, former jamestown high and jamestown college standout, has also been running some great times for Oregon this year in XC in the Fall and indoor/outdoor track. Two great representatives for North Dakota!

Laura finished 2nd at the NCAA championships this weekend in the 800 meter run. She ran a personal best 2:00.98. She still has her senior year left - hoping to see her break that 2 minute mark next year and see her in the 2016 games. Great job Laura !

Laura finished 5th at the US outdoor Track championships at Drake University this weekend. I believe the top 3 get to go to the World Championships - so she missed out on that. On the bright side - she did run a PR at 2:00.23 and missed the top 3 by less than a second.

She competes tomorrow in the 4x4 for another National Title!

Well let's start with listing her times/places

7th Grade (2004) @ Valley City: 15:18.76 - 2nd Place; winning time was Melanie Funke (Minot) 14:59.68
8th Grade (2005) @ Bismarck: 15:37.53 - 2nd Place; winning time was Melanie Funke (Minot) 15:30.42
Freshman (2006) @ Jamestown: 14:33.00 - edged Melanie Funke (Minot) for 1st - 14:33.00
Sophomore (2007) @ Minot: 14:36.53 - edged Melanie Funke (Minot) for 1st - 14:38.22
Junior (2008) @ Jamestown: 16:37.57 - 50th Place (bad race)
Senior (2009) @ Valley City: 15:08.25 - 5th Place; teammate Lachowitzer wins in 14:53.55

In my opinion...she's in the top half of all runners from XC...probably not quite Top 5 but definitely one of the top 20 in XC history. I'd have to do WAY more research to come up with some sort of list.

ICYMI, Laura Roesler won the Bowerman a few days ago. The Bowerman is essentially the Heisman award for NCAA Track and Field. One award is given to each of the top male and female. Congrats Laura!
