Distance Events 2012

For Class A & B, who do you see being top 5 in the 4x800m, 800m, 1600m, and 3200m?

800m:
Shafer and Sem look to be the favorites here. Mix in Leach (GFRR), Gerszewski (GFC), MANY of the Demon guys (Leingang, Seibel, et al.), and Kroke (WF), it looks to be a pretty open race.

1600m:
Leingang's race. Shafer will be up there for 2nd. Scheel (FD) should be in the mix although he hasnt shown much track power. Kutka, Tingum, Baltezore, Leach, Gerszewski, Piper, Chamberlin, Goldade, and every Demon boy look to be in contention for scoring.

3200m:
Leingang could contend for the state record this year. This race will be interesting. Look for the mile contenders in this one.

4x800m:
West Fargo, Bismarck, Central, Dickinson all look pretty good. Its hard to say here.

Just my two cents.

Agreed.

Also, I don't see Bismarck losing the 4X8, and I don't see Leingang losing any of the individual distance events. If he runs the 8, 16, and 32, he'll win all of them.

I agree that Leingang will win the 16 and 32, but Sem will be the favorite in the 8. I don't think Leingang could beat Sem in an 800 when both are fresh, and Leingang will be doubling back from the 32 at state.

Well I think it is safe to say Leingang is the favorite in the 2 mile after watching his race at the Arcadia Invitational.

4th place in an 8:51 against some of the best 2 milers in the Nation!
