wood bats make for a more "pure hitter" if you will. the aluminum bat gives you abilities that you dont really have by making a dink grounder into a rocket for a base hit. wood bats put everybody on that level of personal talent and ability. with wood you have to actually hit the ball hard for a good hit. wood makes the actual aility of the player show and if they're as good as they are supposed to be it wont matter what type of bat they use.
