FB players stuck in the middle of NDHSAA rules

Postby Hinsa » Tue Jun 05, 2012 12:58 pm

I'd like to know if anyone has thoughts on the two Central Valley seniors who may not have any place to play football their senior season. See the article here:

This deal is certainly not their fault, and allowing these 2 guys to play in Hillsboro is certainly not going to tip the balance of power in 9-man.

What do you think? Play or no-play?

I think those 2 kids should be able to play, but not let the whole team play for H-CV.

lol @ this
Sylling said the NDHSAA is always cautious of setting a precedent by making exceptions to rules and creating a slippery slope.

Please see 9-Man Forum and the article penned by Mike McFeely!

It is amazing this is even an argument! Let these kids play. 2 boys who otherwise will be sitting on the spectator bench watching the games cheering on the Burro's! And the NDSHS Activities committe at this time has an ad out on getting kids to participate in sports!

Regardless of the outcome of this issue, it is WRONG to demonize the NDHSAA. The rules were clear. All parties including players, coaches, school boards and parents had ample time clear a path for these boys' participation.

If they wish to compete, why not form a CV cross country team?

Hillsboro has a XC team so if they wish to run XC they could, horrible idea though.
