UND over Northern IOWA

UND got huge win today against northern Iowa 35-31. Iowa was National runner ups last season in Iaa and were ranked third. The Sioux got big games from Central stand out Ryan Chappell(sp?) and Bismarck stand out Weston Dressler. Whole team played huge but those were two key players. Was a great game and well played. Congrats to the boys on a huge win.

It really was a huge win for the Sioux. A lot of North Dakota kids are playing well right now for UND. In addition to Dressler and Chappell, you have Brady Trenbeath starting at receiver, Andy Hoffelt and Brett Bauer on the o-line, Will Kusler at tight end (and sometimes guard), plus Jake Caufield is getting time as a backup receiver. On defense, Steve Brennan and Michael Greenwood start, and others such as Bobby Stroup, Brett Holinka, Ward Demontigny, Tyler Morrow and Tyler Weigelt are also playing.  Brandon Hellevang and Jeff Tescher are key special teams players. Hopefully a lot of people turn out next Saturday for the home opener vs. Winona State.
