Was anybody else happy to see that the Valley City Vikings beat MSUM in football? MSUM was talking pretty smart prior to the game. The DAC conference plays a high level of sports. Many don't ever take the time to attend these DAC games but if they did they would most probably be impressed. UND has lost to a DAC school in more than one sport. How does the DAC stack up against the Northern Sun in various sports?

The best part about this is Valley isn't even the best team in the DAC.

Thing is...MSUM has a really weak football program---and the bottom dwellers in the NSIC are pretty poor....in every sport. Bemidji St, UM-Crookston, Upper Iowa...those teams will get beat by most NAIA schools because they don't have the scholarship funds.
As for UND getting beat, same thing...UND has lost in their programs that have been weak the last few years...men's basketball and volleyball.

The DAC conference winner usually has to go to Carroll College of Montana which has been a dynasty. That's one hurdle that has been very tough.

With the exception of Black Hills no DAC school would do much in the NSIC in XC. The NSIC is one of the toughest conferences in the country in XC with the addition of Augustana, Mankato and Duluth to go along with Wayne State, U Mary and MSUM. BHSU is the only XC program in the DAC that would have a chance with those schools.
