Can NDSU pull off the upset against the defending MAC Champs?  There's no doubt they can put up the points but they ned the secondary to step up.

Any thoughts?

the biggest variable is Tyler Roehl....if hes having a good day he can run over a lot of people and keep the CM off the field while still giving the Bison a good chance at scoring.

I think NDSU needs a couple more weeks of winning to get the #1 spot. No matter - the goal is to be #1 at the end of the season, not week 4. There is a whole lot of football left to be played.

Even if it doesn't catapult NDSU to #1, this win is sweet. Central Michigan won a bowl game last year and they are the defending MAC champs.  NDSU overwhelmed them. And the MAC team NDSU beat last year, Ball State, just got done giving the Huskers the scare of their lives.

Next Week: Western Illinois. They beat South Dakota State, Stephen F. Austin (a team NDSU played earlier this year), and held the University of Illinois to 21. They are also a member of the Gateway. Unfortunately, it's an away game so the next chance to see the Bison is going to be against UC Davis at Homecoming (and that baby will sell out ten days before kickoff).

I'm starting to feel that not only will the Bison be favored against the Gophers in a few weeks, but it will be a little embarassing if the Bison lose.
"Who woulda thunk it?"

im acutally starting to feel people still underrate the Bison in all sports.  2 years ago the basketball team beat Wisconsin IN Wisconsin which is near impossible for anyone, then last year Marquette, again on the road while they were in the top 10 and then later in the year hung around with Texas Tech.  do u think they still have that "They are from North Dakota" thing against them or is the country finally starting to realize kids from this state can play.

what scares me about ndsu is when guys like walker and mays are gone. this success is pretty awesome.

they will be missed... but they still have tons of talent and recruiting is only going to get better and better, especially with more exposure.

Just thought I would chime in. I was at Lambeau field on Sunday for the Packers/Chargers game. I ran into one of the Bison football coaches father. He said next year he believes NDSU will play Wisconsin in football, and in 2010 there is a contract for Ohio State!!! Neither are official yet but both got me excited. NDSU is finishing their transition in fine fashion and are getting ready to make an even bigger splash in the future. GO BISON!!!
