What a great year for Bison football! Only one loss and that was to a Big Ten team that was suppose to crush them, instead NDSU almost pulled the upset. Great West Championship and Dakota Marker. Sold out Fargodome in the final game! Increased attendence again.
Now they need to get into the Gateway conference for football.

IMPRESSIVE SEASON BISON!!!
NDSU has quickly risen to the top of D-1AA! The best has yet to come! I can see a Championship as soon as 2008!
NDSU ACCOMPLISHMENTS!
- Finished the year ranked #4 in all of D-1AA! [size=2](possibly higher when the polls close! you could argue that they should have been ranked #1)
- Played a stretch of 7 games in which 6 were on the road!
- Set an attendance record for home and road games! A sold out crowd of nearly 20,000 people saw the SDSU game!
- Finished #9 in 1-AA attendance!
- Won a Conference Championship! The Great West was ranked as the #1 conference in D-1AA
- The only loss was 10-9 at Big Ten Minnesota and they clearly outplayed the Gophers! Lose a game on a blocked field goal! C'mon!
- May be admitted into the Gateway Football Conference!
- Proved they have the depth to compete with the best every week. Some of the connections with other schools are really cool. Check this out...
- NDSU beat D-1A Ball State. Ball State had a chance to beat #2 Michigan!! They lost 26-34 and were stopped on 4th & goal at the 3! If NDSU beat Ball State, who nearly upset Michigan, could NDSU compete with Michigan? Probably not but it's a fair question. Ball State barely lost to Big Ten Purdue and Indiana by a combined 11 points. NDSU clearly outplayed Minnesota, who is going to a bowl game.
- NDSU thrashed #9 California Poly 52-14. Cal Poly beat Stanford last year.
No matter how you look at it... this is an exiting time to be a Bison fan! The scary part... the best has yet to come![/size]
