Tuesday, April 01, 2014 8:41 a.m. by JT

Sources today are confirming that NDSU men's basketball coach Saul Phillips is leaving NDSU.Phillips won his second Summit League Coach of the Year award this season, directing the Bison to a school record-tying 26 wins and an 80-75 overtime win over fifth-seeded Oklahoma in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. NDSU swept The Summit League's regular season and tournament titles for the second time in six years. Phillips was among fifteen finalistsfor the 2014 Hugh Durham Award presented to the top Division I mid-major men's basketball coach.

Sources couldn't confirm where Saul was headed, but early reports are either McDonalds or Burger King for a quick bite to eat. He should return to NDSU later this afternoon.
