Who are the teams that will be in contention for a state championship next year, as well as who are the "studs" coming back?

I would include BHS, Fargo South, Cent., maybe Dickinson.  Any other East teams with solid returning teams?...Red River?

Leutz is the obvious, Bredahl (BHS), Mitch Kudrna (DHS).....who are the others?  Is Larson back from Jamestown?  How about South?

Larson will be back from Jamestown, Chris Griffin from Fargo South, BHS had some young guys this year produce in Cory Ploof and Jason Duchsherer, Mandan will have Beholavek, Minot has Tyson Schatz, Chris Jordan from Shanley, Jordan Oja St. Marys, Also BHS will return Chris Faller, Dirk Churchill, Ryan Kadrmas, Rob Field, Andy Reichengberger, Lyle Witham- all state placers this past year as juniors.

Mitch Kudrna is an absolute freak.  And DHS's mile relay team will not lose next year.  Every runner on that team was a junior or less, so they wont lose....ever.

I wouldn't say Mitch is a freak because Weston Leutz takes care of that.. he's unbelievable, but Mitch is very talented and will win the 400, 4x400 and maybe contest with Leutz in the 100 and 200

Kudrna is very talented, but Leutz, as he matures and adds some muscle, could be the best ever to come out of ND.

Jamestown and Bismarck High should be going at it again for the 3200 mile relay this year. It should be interesting to watch.

When are we going to see a 16 ft. vaulter in the state?  Aide at 15'4 set the standard nearly 40 years ago, and we are still vaulting in that range.

That would be awesome to have a 16' vaulter. But I think its very unlikely it will be seen anytime soon. For high school pole vaulters there seems to be a plateau right around the 15'-15'4 height mark. Like some magic force holds them down as they go for higher heights. I dont know who all graduated from Fargo South because they had I think three 14' vaulters, but If any of them are back they could possilby go in the 15 foot range. I believe you are from Bismarck and you and I both know that Joe Bredahl would possibly be the person that comes to mind when thinking of a 16' vaulter. Being a Junior last year and going.. 15'? (correct me if im wrong) is quite an accomplishment. But I just don't think that anyone can get past the 15'4" plateau anytime soon. 8" is a huge extra amount to go. Hopefully I am wrong though.
